Guest The Man in Blak Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Of course, the WWF doesn't really have to announce who drafted who past the first three draft picks. The rest can be left up to speculation...which would make some people watch both shows to see who else got drafted where. It's a little bit of suspense. Guest sayeitan Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Does anyone think there might still be a world title split? There's gotta be a reason they've still got two belts hanging around. Divide 'em up tonight, then each show has a champ that can appear on either show. Reunite the titles at WM.
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I have a bad feeling about RAW now...they could really screw this up.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I remember it being said that the WWF Mens and Women's Champion would be free to compete on either show, so I doubt there will be title splits.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I picture it like most others do. As RAW fades in, there's red carpet and a desk in the ring. Vince comes down with Lawyers, Flair comes down with Arn, and they engage in a little verbal battle. Then Vince does the overdramatic "I pick first... THE EENNN DOUBLEYOOUUU OOOOH!" Flair will claim it's only fair that he get three in return, and the three he picks will inevitably throw Vince into a "He can't do that!" frenzy, which will lead to a few shows filled with trading and negotiating skits between the two. Flair: I want Hurricane... what's he worth to you? Vince: At the very least... a Jeff Hardy. Flair: ... I'll give you a Funaki... Vince: You gotta do better than that. Hee hee... And, like someone else said, this Raw will rule or suck. There's no thumbs in the middle for this one.
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Absolutly not, the writers could either take the damn ball and spike it...or fumble it like normal.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Well, if you look at the last two big angles, the Invasion and the nWo, they have fumbled. Third time lucky?
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I could see them do trades during the show. Maybe wrestler X for 3 picks. Raw will either be thumbs up or thumbs down.
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I'm gonna say...nope.
Guest The Masked Yodeler Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I read on 411 that there will be trades between the "brands" over the coming weeks. And I don't think that a Crash Holly or a Perry Saturn being the last guy drafted will hurt their careers. They are already slotted at the bottom of the card, and the fans know this, and react to them accordingly. The fans know that those wrestlers are worthless (in storyline terms, anyway) so it will be no surprise when the last guy picked is The Godfather or Spike Dudley. Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I really hope Benoit is involved in the draft. I know it's a big smark cliche to be so concerned with him, but I hope he's not ignored.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Jakked results so far: Spoiler Space, for the 5 people who watched Jakked end Spoiler Space Lance Storm over the Big Valboski Dreamer over Raven I find it funny that: 1. a feud as historic as this is to ECW is relegated to Jakked by the WWF. 2. The WWF is switching up their normal Jakked booking, as VAL is the one that is supposed to be getting the push and Dreamer hasn't had a win in 8 months that wasn't over a developmental talent. Guest Chuck Woolery Report post Posted March 26, 2002 A few notes... -Only the first twenty picks will be made live on Raw. -The rest of the Superstars will be chosen live on WWF.com immediately following Raw. -The new rosters do not take effect until next Monday. -Because of the Triple Threat Match tonight, neither Triple H, nor Chris Jericho, nor Stephanie can be drafted. This is probably because the draft will occur before the match. -Because of "contractual obligations" Stone Cold Steve Austin also can not be drafted. -These four will be considered free agents who can be chosen to either Raw or Smackdown, although she did not state when that signing can occur. You're welcome. -Mike Van Siclen
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I wonder if the new WWF(E) logo will debut tonight.
Guest Chuck Woolery Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Above reported by RajahWWF.com. I have no way of knowing if this is true, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was. -Mike Van Siclen
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Well i doubt they will draft the big name injured guys like Beniot and Rhyno. Then when either come back they will be pissed and do something like attacking guys that were drafted at the bottom and destroying then asking why the hell they were ignored for these guys that just got their asses kicked. Well that is if this is still around when Beniot or Rhyno return.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 26, 2002 -Because of "contractual obligations" Stone Cold Steve Austin also can not be drafted. uh-oh...if this is true, it would suggest Austin is still in disagreement with the WWF and won't be on Raw or Smackdown this week. Which is not a good thing.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Jakked may be worth watching this week because match #3 is Funaki and Tajiri vs. Kidman and Hurricane.
Guest Will Scarlet Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I am already not looking forward to this Raw. In true TSN Ontario fashion, they have taken off a big Raw episode for a Maple Leafs game. In true Maple Leafs fashion, they are losing on Monday night like they always do when Raw gets yanked for a Leafs game. I am hoping this is not a bad sign because every other recent time that big Raws were yanked for a Leafs game, they usually ended up as "above average, but nowhere near as good as the hype said it was going to be." I hope Raw breaks the mold, and actually delivers this time. Either way, I still hate TSN.
Guest Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Well, here goes my first post to the legendary Smark board. I'm on Spring Break this week and being that I don't get TNN at school and really don't have the time to watch wrestling what with all the consumption, fornication, and shenanigans that take up every waking hour of my University life (not to mention the occasional class i manage to wake up in time for) this will be the first Raw I've seen since the height of the "invasion" (lol) this Summer. It looks like I picked a good week to return to active smark status as RAW: The Draft should at the very least be entertaining, though everything I've seen from WWFE since the XFL leads me to believe they'll find a way to screw this up. Here's hoping for a memorable evening with plenty of twists and turns and possibly a SWERVE or two. I hope everyone has fun tonight, good draft or bad, and don't forget to mark out at least once~! I realize I don't have as much of my life invested in WWFE Sportz Entertainment as some of y'all, but if I ever get as cynical about something thats supposed to be fun as some individuals seem to be ****COUGHNETCOPCOUGH**** I'll break out the razor blades. "Wth the #1 pick in tonights draft, Vince McMahon selects......BIG POPPA PUMP!?!?!?!?!?"
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 26, 2002 You'd be cynical if you'd watched the build up to Wrestlemania Lucy the dog.
