Guest notJames Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I don't know if this was mentioned in the draft thread, but the only wrestling female on the Smackdown side is Ivory. All the rest are on Raw. And they split up Hurricane and Molly, which is probably for the best, since she needs a character makeover anyway. But does that mean Jazz will fight Ivory on SD every Thursday? Maybe she'll defend against Billy and Chucky...
Guest Risk Report post Posted March 26, 2002 RVD will stay on RAW, because of his Mr. Monday Night moniker.
Guest Report post Posted March 26, 2002 NotJames, There will have to be a massive amount of trades for that to work. I've counted 18 solid wrestlers on SD, 4 for RAW (including Hennig & D'Lo who will treated like a joke)... there's gonna have to be AT LEAST 7 trades to make this somewhat even. My only hope is that they agree to completely swap rosters.

My only hope is that they agree to completely swap rosters. My inital wish is that Vince trades Benoit, Jericho and Storm for the nWo, thus keeping their feud with Hogan/Rock alive. They might also trade Kane in there somewhere since he seems to be thrust into the feud as well. From there, I'm sure things will even out. And I'm sure they'll still be trading after Smackdown's done, considering they might not be sure if Austin is coming back or not... Hope for the best, expect the worst... Guest Human Fly Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I thought Raw was awesome but there are major question around the rosters. I was hoping Flair was going to take Angle with his first pick. Flair's drafting was less then stellar. Trades have got to go down. A good start, but a lot of work is needed.
Guest Report post Posted March 26, 2002 If they swapped rosters everyone would be ecstatic. Why does it matter? Who cares if everyone you want to see is on Vince's show rather then Flair's? Do you hate the McMahons that much? Except for those of you who do not live in the United States and cannot see Smackdown. Sucks to be you.
Guest Report post Posted March 26, 2002 oh dear god. I just read the raw report and checked out the rosters, and it seems Vince is so insane he's trying to bury his own show. what the hell is going on here? I mean honestly? How many times can RVD fight Booker? I think what's going on here is they already know this only a temporary thing, or the're will be MASSIVE trading. Guest KANE Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Jesus H. Christ, everyone quit your bitching. You guys didn't even give this draft the chance to do anything yet and you're already crucifying it. Besides, weren't many of the same people complaining about it the same ones that were complaining all the big stars got too much time on 2 shows and that the midcarders did not get any air time? This way, you have your main event show and your midcarder show. You guys are so caught up with being pessimistic that you don't even see that you got what you wanted when it's presented to you. Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 26, 2002 The only thing that will save that roster is a massive switch with Hogan and Rock staying on smackdown. Fuck, Vince picked Benoit before Flair? That's just fucked up!!!!
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted March 26, 2002 um this isn't what we asked for... the big stars will still get all the tv time, HHH will still be on both shows.
Guest Risk Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I hope HHH loses those titles soon, so he has to be drafted.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted March 26, 2002 hey when he loses does he get drafted or does he become a free agent?
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 26, 2002 By the time he actually loses the titles, the rosters probably won't be split by then. I would say that the WWF probably doesn't know where HHh will go or how he'll get there.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted March 26, 2002 right now i don't think the writers have plans for anyone
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Damn this is looking rather horrible thus far. And yes we dislike watching the Mcmahon's that much...so what. I can't see them doing that many trades. Maybe Heyman will gather himself a group of young monsters and then proceed to wipe out a good amount of the shitty and useless bums and declare a revolution. That would be aboot the best way to handle it without a bunch of damn trades that would just make this whole thing seem silly. I mean if WWF is gonna to fill Raw with guys that aren't big names at least they could give them young up and comers that no one has seen. It couldn't be any worse then the current has beens never beens and never will bes they have now.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Report post Posted March 26, 2002 i geuss raws s now smackdowns farm system. seriously though i'd bring up talent from ovw and hwa, sign some other indy wrestlers and run it as the exact opposite of smackdown to see if they can attract more viewers. it can't be any worse than what they will do. Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I would look for a lot of trades to be offered up on Smackdown. There is no way in hell the WWF would split the Dudley Boyz and stick them on different shows. Shit like that just can't happen and I don't give a fuck who's booking. I would bet that D-Von is heading to the Raw brand, maybe for Lesner?
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Yeah, there *must* be trades, there is not point splitting up the Duds. It's great that Benoit was so high
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Anybody else notice RVD no-sell the double German suplexes? Tsk, tsk, Rob. And did Nash get hurt legit? Saw him holding his elbow after Kane gave him the boot, plus he held it all the way up the ramp, and walked to the back when Hall & X-Pac were still on the ramp. Didn't seem to be a work to me. Mark Henry? Stasiak? Yeesh.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted March 26, 2002 This brand extension thing reminds me of someone trying to build a house without blueprints. It seems as if there is no forward thinking/planning at all in regards to this whole deal, Which is of course while it will fail just like the InVasion and the nWo failed. Guest papacita Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I dunno. I definitely think the WWF was smoking serious crack when they chose half the RAW roster, but I don't see any problem that good writing can't fix. IMO RAW has a better shot at developing new stars than Smackdown. I mean, if Austin stays, he's likely going to RAW. They've got RVD in the meantime, who if booked the right way can lead to some entertaining shows. They've got Taker, Kane, and the nWo for some name value, Lita and Trish which is always good, then you've got people like Raven, Tommy Dreamer and Justin Credible for us ECW marks (even though I'm pissed Tazz is gonna be on Smackdown...more commentating, I guess ***rolls eyes***), then guys like Booker, Brock Lesnar, D-Lo and (hopefully) Perfect to step up in the mid-card. It's gonna be kinda rough in the next few weeks (maybe months) while they perfect their rosters, but if they make a few trades in the next few weeks, bring guys like Edge, Lance Storm, DDP or Christian over to RAW, push the right people, stay away from cross-booking as much as possible, AND SPLIT THE DAMN WORLD TITLES...I think it should work out fine. Seriously, though. Why not just have a World Title for each fed? I think that would make both shows more interesting because for one, you could draft HHH to RAW, and two it would give more of a focus to both shows. Oh well, can't always get what you want. Peace
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted March 26, 2002 I was laughing my ass off last night at how good Vince's draft was and how horrible Flair's was. I can't possibly believe that Flair is that dumb. RVD busted Angle open again baby! Whoo hoo! I don't think those guys should wrestle each other again, there is too much heat there. I was in horror after Jericho and HHH hit each other with the belts and Steph nearly beat both of them. I was like "Please God, no." I will admit that Steph took a decent spinebuster. I think that they might do the split belt angle soon...have HHH lose a controversial decision for one belt on Raw to someone, something like that. Then it can be unified by next WM. Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 26, 2002 Have you ever considered that at least one of those shots may be a receipt for getting buried in a public forum by Angle and his wife? I don't think RVD has busted anyone ELSE open in months.
