Guest Jobber of the Week Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/new...hp?news_id=6603 The following information was sent in by reader David Donovan: I was at the Smackdown taping last night. Mysterio got injured while attempting a Bronco Buster on Shannon Moore. You could tell he got hurt as soon as he hit the move. He sold it like he'd gotten hit in the jewels, so it could very well have been a groin injury. Just thought I'd pass that along. Can we ban this move now? Please?
Guest TheGame2705 Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 They're already saying it's a groin injury.
Guest razazteca Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 That move does look too gay, I could accept women using it but Rey Rey why must you copy X-Pac?
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 He should just stop using it, i doubt anyone will miss it.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Isn't this like the first time he's done it since...*shudder* Devil-Horned Filthy Animal Rey? I'm thinking he could've done it in the Angle feud...
Guest The Bad Guy Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 I'm officially calling this the funniest injury since the Nash quad tear.
Guest TheGame2705 Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 For all the Pac hate, atleast he never hurt his balls doing it.
Guest The Bad Guy Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 For all the Pac hate, atleast he never hurt his balls doing it. [Realizes how easy it would be to make jokes about X-Pac having no testicles...]
Guest wildpegasus Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Rey could be out for a while depending on how serious the injury is. Groin injuries take forever and a day to heal. Even when they do heal the injury can still come and go. (Remember Bret even used this in storylines when he was a heel in WCW)
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Too Bad for Rey. Guess we won't get those possible ***** matches from Rey and Ultimo anytime soon.
Guest The Bad Guy Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Too Bad for Rey. Guess we won't get those possible ***** matches from Rey and Ultimo anytime soon. We never would have anyway. The WWE would have figured out some way to screw it up.
Guest AndrewTS Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 I swear, WWE is cursed. Damn, out of the SD6, only Benoit and Eddy are healthy. Although Angle will be back soon.
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 I got a feeling that Angle will be out again before the end of the year. Hopefully I'm wrong. And darn that technical wrestling that tells a story, I swear more people get injured from that style than anything else [/sarcasm]
Guest razazteca Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Isn't this like the first time he's done it since...*shudder* Devil-Horned Filthy Animal Rey? I'm thinking he could've done it in the Angle feud... Stuff in the face! Stuff in the face! Stuff in the face! That's Enough~ [/Konnan]

I got a feeling that Angle will be out again before the end of the year. Hopefully I'm wrong. At the rate things are going, I wouldn't be surprised, Backlash and JD were the first PPVs Kurt has missed since debuting. If he's well enough to work, he'll work through the injuries. I hope he's certain he's healthy before coming back.
Guest Ram Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 I swear, WWE is cursed. Damn, out of the SD6, only Benoit and Eddy are healthy. Although Angle will be back soon. Well, technically Benoit has been reported as having problems with his arm(s?), where he sporadically loses feeling in it or something. Eddy's okay though, but he's a Velocity main eventer now.
Guest razazteca Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 I wonder how long Rey Rey will be out. Piazza looks to be out for the baseball season with a groin injury, can the same be said about Mysterio? How many months will he be out? Konnan & Stevie Ray should be on Heat

It's a damn shame it seems all of the good workers are being hit lately; yet HHH and Nash are still able to "wrestle" (or an unreasonable facsimile of the act).
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 I wonder how long Rey Rey will be out. Piazza looks to be out for the baseball season with a groin injury, can the same be said about Mysterio? How many months will he be out? Konnan & Stevie Ray should be on Heat With Piazza, the groin tore away from the bone (yeah, ouch). Unless Rey did something along those lines, he won't be out for too long.
Guest Trivia247 Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 After all these years we wished Xpac be inflicted by a groin injury but not po rey rey!
Guest ISportsFan Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 For all the Pac hate, atleast he never hurt his balls doing it. [Realizes how easy it would be to make jokes about X-Pac having no testicles...] We should ask Chyna. Jason
Guest razazteca Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 well WWE could sign The Amazing Red and have him wrestle under the mask of Rey Mysterio. Cousin Red Mysterio!
Guest Austin3164life Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Too bad for Rey. The only good thing that can possibly come out of this is the pops he will get when he returns (if he is hyped).
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Well, technically Benoit has been reported as having problems with his arm(s?), where he sporadically loses feeling in it or something. Need a Dr. Jho surgery or something?
Guest Goodear Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Rey being injury prone isn't exactly a suprise anymore. It's sad but true.
Guest Lil Naitch Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 funny how he got injured for real after a worked injury..... kind of lessens the impact a little, don't ya think?
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 x-Pac must be laughing his ass off. No one will miss that move if they stop doing it. I wonder what this injury means for the Matt and the cruiserweight title. So much for giving credibility to that belt.
The Dames Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 Rey could be out for a while depending on how serious the injury is. Groin injuries take forever and a day to heal. Even when they do heal the injury can still come and go. (Remember Bret even used this in storylines when he was a heel in WCW) "Gene, I've got a groin pull the likes you've never SEEN! It's true. I've got Doctors in the back!" Damn, I love Bret Hart. Dames
Guest ViciousFish Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 For all the Pac hate, atleast he never hurt his balls doing it. All I could think of was the time he did at on D'Lo and got kicked in the balls. It was the first time I remember seeing the move get countered and it looked like he flew full speed into D'Lo's foot without blocking some of the force by putting his feet on the ropes.
Guest Dynamite Kido Posted May 22, 2003 Report Posted May 22, 2003 It doesn't just suck because he got hurt, it sucks cause he got hurt in a match against two guys for no reason. They are already showing that they don't really know what to do with Mysterio.....
