As an Australian it PAINS me to hear all the reports on Nathan Jones. It has been a long time dream of mine to become a wrestler and the biz is just starting to hit big over here, meaning schools are begining to open up and WWE is getting far more coverage and even doing tours here.

 

Now the WWE has aquired Nathan Jones in an experiment gone horrible wrong. What does this mean for me....... well....... the only other near Australian wrestling figures I can remember are the Bushwackers........(they were said to hail from Sydney, New Zealand..... top points for Geography WWE dipshits) Now that Jones is sucking up the ring will WWE ever look to Australia again for talent................ probably not.

 

La Resistance have also bee new aquisitions and from my vantage point are just average. Not spectacular in the ring or on the mic but not bad either.

 

This leads me to my point.

WHAT IS THE WWF DOING WITH NEW TALENT ACQUISITION!

 

Now, I don't get to see any House shows or independent promotions but surely there is far more wrestling talent available than the WWE is using.

 

It is every wrestler's dream to make it to the BIG TIME. Yet the WWE continues to pick up no hopers with little charisma as their new talent.

 

There must be so many frustrated independant guys who can work 1000000 times better than Jones getting so pissed off at constantly being overlooked by the WWE.

 

I believe it is one of the main reasons the WWE is currently failing. They are picking up talent that are either too old and have already made a name for themselves or who are just plain average. Surely there are independant wrestlers setting small shows on fire............... but where are the WWE talent scouts...... picking up La resistance and Nathan Jones. It really makes you wonder what WWE looks for in their superstars.

 

They need more Chris Beniots and Chris Jerichos who have made names for themselves DESPITE being buried in every way possible. But instead we get Monsters and average workers. The future of wrestling is in the hands of the workers, not the monsters. Wrestlers need to have a package, natural charisma and ability. WWE can't single handedly get a wrestler over. the wrestler needs to get themselves over with the help of (or inspite of) the WWE. Just because WWE says they are good doesn't make them good.

 

I think WWE needs to invest more time and effort and money into scouting so that we end up with the talented, not just the average who WWE says is talented.

No worries, you can try MMA, forget WWE. Its time to go back to the basics of 2 warriors grappling trying to choke each other out. No interview or promo needed, just prove yourself in the ring or cage with strikes or chokes or basic submissions.

 

Forget WWE go to Mexico and learn how to be an acrobat and use submissions to win matches. You get an instant personality with a mask.

 

Forget WWE go to Japan and be worship by the true wrestling fans who only care about workrate.

 

Goto California and be a porn star.

I've actually always had the urge to learn how to wrestle in Canada. My issues at the moment are that I'm currently doing Medicine at university which is a 6 year course and to do anything to do with Wrestling I'd have to chuck it all in. I've worked really hard to get into it and I'm not sure if it'll be worth it to just go and chase a dream.

I'm thinking that I'll take a 3 month holiday to canada and do the basics and if I fall completely in love with it than I'll just stay there.

If I lived on the mainland I'd be able to tell you...... but I live in Tasmania ( I know... it makes me sad too) and the only wrestling I've seen live was WWE Global Warning where I forked out copious amounts of money for a ticket, a flight and accomodation. If I lived in Melbourne or Sydney I'd be right into the Oz wrestling scene but unfortunately I'm living in a shit hole island
