I enjoyed it. I thought it was overrated though. I liked the character better then I did the movie.

I really liked the movie; but not one of my all time favorites. Nothing can beat the last scene though.

Why would you even ask such a question?

Scarface is a classic, and I mean classic. In a must own situation, it's in the top three.

I wouldn't go MUST OWN. Maybe, MUST SEE. Or, MUST RENT.

I've never seen an unedited version. I plan on doing that before I die...

dude, that's not even one of pacino's top three must own. it's not even one of the 80s' top three must own. it's not even a top three must own gangster movie. it's not even a top three must own pacino gangster movie.

One of my all-time favorites. Pacino is God.

Highlights would have to include the chainsaw scene, the overhead bathtub scene, the making-a-scene-at-the-restraunt scene, and of course, probably one of my top three scenes of all time -- the ending. I mean, really now.

Dames has motherfucking ARRIVED.

See that man in my sig? That is not Al Pacino. Al Pacino is not in Scarface. That, my friends, is Tony "Motherfucking" Montana.

This is more than a crime/mafia movie. More than a movie on 80's excess and the pitfalls of drugs. More than an excuse for graphic violence onscreen. The way I take it and the way that I've ALWAYS taken it is as a story of a hispanic man who went from NOTHING to the top of the world due to the ruthlessness and determination that he had in order to succeed. Who cares that it's about cocaine? I just fucking don't. It could have been about stock tips for all I care. This was a Cuban refugee with no real working skills and came to America and fucking MADE IT.

This is a classic and definitely one of my favorite movies of all time.

Every scene is memorable, most of the lines are quotable and Tony Montana has become an icon.

I'm astounded by the lack of Scarface love ... it's one of the few movies I can watch and the minute it ends watch again. And when that one ends, watch again.

It's a must see. Some scenes are so over-the-top they swing back to not-over-the-top again.

I personally like it alot, mainly for it's baroque excess, which for me makes it tremendously entertaining. I wouldn't rate it as one of the top gangster movies of all time though.

half a dozen people say it's one of their all-time favorites, and you're astounded by the lack of love?

Vice City was based on Scarface.

I loved Vice City.

Therefore, I love Scarface.

Scarface, by itself, is still one of my favorite movies. The ending has to be one of the bests ever, right down to the closing shots.

i dont think it is really a gang movie just a a cuban man who flees to the usa and starts from the bottom to running the town

Hell, I'm amazed that no one has even brought up the fact that the Pacino Scarface isn't even the REAL Scarface! That would be the original 1932 version with Paul Muni. It's about half as long as the 83 movie, and twice as good.

hell idk man, i saw one going for over a 1oo dollars on ebay i got lucky and got mine for 33 it has a misprint on the cover talking about the exorcist but its a cool cover art and its a weird case...not really a case

It's up there for me too, Pacino's performance is just too engrossing for it not to be

i guess i just don't get it, but...how does 'scarface' compare to something like 'goodfellas' for you guys?

Well it's close (both movies are awesome) while Pacino is better than anything in GF, GF's cast has more compelling characters than Scarface does. I just think Pacino's rise is that much more interesting than Liotta's simply because Pacino portrays the character better though, the way he changes once he actually makes it is superb and he really makes you believe he's a man on the brink of going under/insane

Goodfellas is one great movie and is right there with Scarface in my book. It's almost to close to call.
