Is there a website or can someone help me find what extras were added to WWE DVDs beginning with, what I believe was the first DVD release, WrestleMania XV? Specifically, I'm looking for matches rather than promos, commentaries, interviews, etc. I'd be especially interested in matches that were added to PPV DVDs - both from Heat and matches that were used to build-up the PPV. I have the more obvious ones - Best of Raw Vol. 1 & 2, Hogan, Rey, and Hardcore - but little else. Anything would be appreciated. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Guest razazteca Report post Posted May 27, 2003 Not sure about WM15 but WWE has not done well with the extras in the DVDs, most of the so called interviews are just wrestlers warming up for the match or something as weak. It was not until maybe this year that they began to add extra matches to the PPV DVDS. Most of the older (before 2003) DVDs generally have lame extras. Only the Wrestlemanias (16, 17, 18) had good extras, they had a 3rd DVD which was a History of Wrestlemania. The best extras are in the wrestler career themed DVDs such as the Mick Foley, Undertaker, Austin, Rock ones which contained several matches. The only extras that I gave a damned was commentary by the wrestlers talking about their match like the one by Jericho vs Benoit vs Angle or the Mick Foley one about the Al Snow dog match. It's on the 2 disc Special Collectors Edition. Bravesfan, I've got to ask. How many of these matches are in their entirety? I'm asking because I have the Rock: Just Bring It DVD and the Kurt Angle/Rock match from No Way Out 2001 as well as Benoit/Rock from Fully Loaded '00 is VERY clipped and I wouldn't count them as full extras. It's clipped on the feature, taking out Hebner's infamous fuck-up on the count (this is probably meant to cover it up for the VHS version, which the WWE expected better sales of than the DVD). BUT, it's also on the DVD as a full-length extra, complete with Hebner's mistake. (IIRC, it's the first title on the "extras" menu). I downloaded that thing and tried to watch it, and it was just pimping his celebrity appearances so much instead of his actual wrestling I nearly fell asleep. HHH DVD > Rock DVD, and that's sad.
