Guest JAxlMorrison Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 I just watched a download of this last night. I was partly intrigued when I read the lead character was the younger brother of the Patrick Bateman character from "American Psycho". What I got was an interesting story, somewhat uncomfortable to watch at times, but one I would highly recommend. "I leave you alone for 5 minutes and you're drinking?" "Drunk. I'm drunk!" LOL
Guest El Satanico Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 I liked it, but it was advertised poorly. From the TV spots it looked like an American Pie type of movie. It's nothing like the trailers made it look.
The Dames Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 I agree with Satanico. I went into the theater knowing that it was a dark film, but others didn't. You should have seen the look on these kids faces when Lauren's character got thrown up on in the beginning of the movie. I specifically remember James Van Der Beek on TRL earlier that week saying "PLEASE...this is NOT for Teens. I'm NOTHING like Dawson in this.." Dames
Guest Youth N Asia Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 I wasn't overly impressed with it. I thought it was so-so, probably won't watch it again. And seeing Shannyn Sossaman smoke just kills her for me.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted May 27, 2003 Report Posted May 27, 2003 An amazing movie based on an amazing novel by an amazing author. And isn't Roger Avary also doing the Glamorama movie? He has a knack for Ellis and stories like this. My mouth is watering.
