That match was GREAT.

 

Good wrestling all around, but a really unique approach...and a SUPERB DQ FINISH. When was the last time you heard someone say that?

 

Eddie was his normal stellar self. The variety of leg submissions were super, and for a guy based on kicks, Tajiri sold that left leg very well. Even his big kicks at the end worked, because he had Haas or Benjamin supporting the bad leg in some fashion. The spots were crisp and simple but effective--the double hook kick, Eddie's dive onto Benjamin, and Haas bridging Northern lights out of the corner top the list for me.

 

And a GREAT finish. I like it when they let the wrestlers be smart, and I like that the bookers have actually figured out a way to have a cheating face team work. This is a really, really fun feud.

 

Oh, and the builds to both hot tags plus judicious use of the tag ropes and some clever ref/wrestler interactions make for an even more stronger effort. Thumbs way the hell up.

I would call the tag match a low ****. This is gonna be just awesome when they can add Kurt back into the mix.

I'll add in what Edge said in his OTR interview...get Hogan out of the main angles on Smackdown, and put him up with a babyface that needs a big push to make him a bigger star.
