Seriously I wanna know what the hell happened with this nWo angle. I mean in WCW they were a force. They destroyed everybody and everything.

They were brought into the WWF to be this poison. And destroy the WWF.

What happens when they get here? They're just another heel stable. They don't do anything paticuarly bad nor do they destroy anything.

What happened? How did this angle end up being just another one?

Nowadays seing the nWo on Raw is like seeing Kurt Angle on Raw. They're both just normal heels.

seeing the nWo is not like seeing angle.

angle has talent.

That's because they didn't have Scott Norton with them!!!

Seriously, it's all because of Vince's stubborness and refusal to build a dominating heel out of a talent or gimmick that was pretty much created by someone else. Although, in all fairness, the nWo only really started destroying everything in sight once their membership grew and grew.

But you're right, though. They turned out to be just another heel stable, thus giving us another botched angle.

I mean it's like seeing every other heel. Nothing new, they're just there like everyone else.

... only they're 10 years older and a thousand times slower and more boring than the others...

Maybe in your opinion, but evidenced by the 5.3 that 3/4th's of the nWo helped draw last RAW I think the fans like it.

I for one enjoy the nWo segments more than anything just for the lone reason of getting to see Scott Hall, the most entertaining man in sports entertainment.

Wow, I thought I was only one who loved Scott Hall that much!

Here's the thing: Vince brought in the nWo, and people expected huge miracles to happen. One might even guess Vince did as well. But guess what: they didn't, but Vince is still looking good. He's paying the nWo guys a combined 2 million a year, give or take a bit. This year, he's probably already recouped a lot of that from the higher than normal NWO buyrate, sales of nWo T-shirts and Rock-Hogan Icon vs. Icon merchandise, the massive buyrate WM probably did, and the possibilty of continuing to make money from them over the course of the year. Just like in the purchase of WCW, for the smarks it may look like a failure, but for Vince McMahon it's just another shrewd business decision.
