I would have to say from the official live recordings and the bootlegs I have of BOC... they have definitely aged very, very, VERY well! I've seen them twice live... excellent stuff all around. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted May 31, 2003 Dying Fetus, as well as Dillinger Escape Plan and Tool. All three bands were everything I'd hoped they would be live, and then some. DF was basically one gargantuan act of violence by a bunch of maniacs in a relatively small venue as hot as a furnace, not to mention the fact that their music is way more enjoyable in that kind of environment. Especially when he does this gimmick where he plays every instrument........good stuff. And The Who! At 50 plus years old, Townshend and Daltrey move around like they are in their 20s. Townshend was definitely pissed off and on a mission and it showed! Excellent tour! on the other hand, when I saw the Who-wannabes (Pearl Jam) this year... ugh, what a disaster. And they still haven't come up with a reason why, or made any sort of statement. It's been almost 6 months too. That was not an Awesome performance, that was THE GREATEST PERFORMANCE Eeeeeeeeeeeever. Songs, Explotions, Show, near 2 hours and a half. Best show I've been. When they started playing, it was like a lightswitch went off in everyone's head and ultra-violence on the floor ensued. I never left a venue so damn happy I had made the trip. In fact Kris Kross was so bad that I didn't go to another concert for eight years! On the flip side I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Nelly Furtado and live. And Mary J. Blige. Their bass player amost got decapitated by a flying guitar. The singer spit a huge fucking fire ball. There was a naked guy stage diving. Pure fucking insanity. They are the best live band I have ever seen. The pit sucked because it was just a bunch of poser hardcore kids doing their retarded dancing. Other notable bands: ICP (I've never seen so many people drenched in cheap soda in my life) Converge (Same show as DEP. When I finally got to see Milo back with the band at the Warped Tour '97 (?), my feelings were solidified. He truly made the other guys kick it up 1000 notches. I actually got to see the Descendents SECOND show back together, in Ft Collins CO. Like you said, it met and exceeded every expectation that I would have had. And b/c I knew one of the organizers I got to go backstage (which was just a fenced in area in the back of the bar, but the point is that I was like 5 feet from Milo and Bill ... I was way to chickenshit to say anything more than great show). It hasn't happened yet, but I hear that Ginn is going to get Black Flag back for a tour - with all the vocalists except Henry (so it'll be just be the good ones) ... if that comes to fruition it will be insane.
