I made a few rules and exceptions, which follow: 1. I tried to include bands that most people on the board have heard at one point or another. Even though there is a substantial death/black metal cult on this board, most people have never heard many of those bands. Sorry, I just tried to make it more accessible and easier to vote on each matchup. 2. No punk or alternative bands were included. Exception being Alice in Chains, but I always thought they were above being called alt. rock, so they're in. 3. EVERY matchup must be voted on, or your ballot will not count. Voting ends on midnight on Saturday the 7th. I will not have access to a computer until Monday, which is where the next round will be posted. 4. Let's try to keep this from turning into a flame post, this is just something fun I came up with when I was bored last night. Happy voting! Aerosmith vs. Queensryche Aerosmith (because I've only heard one Queensryche song and hated it) Ozzy Osbourne vs. Anthrax I'll say Ozzy eventhough I don't really care for his music anymore. AC/DC vs. Whitesnake AC/DC..it's all about a middle aged man wearing a school boy outfit. Alice in Chains vs. Ted Nugent Alice in Chains...much more thought provoking. Guns N' Roses vs. Thin Lizzy This one is kind of hard. I'll say G n' R. Def Leppard vs. Megadeth Megadeth because I prefer Thrash to Pop Metal. Black Sabbath vs. Ratt Sabbath of course...that one wasn't that hard Motorhead vs. Pantera Motorhead. Without Motorhead there would be no Pantera. Van Halen vs. The Cult Van Halen (Roth era). Motley Crue vs. The Scorpions I hate both of these bands, but Motley Crue is the better of two evils. Metallica vs. Dio Metallica..no fucking question. Deep Purple vs. Alice Cooper Deep Purple had better music. KISS vs. UFO KISS...I guess. I don't really like KISS, but I've honestly never heard UFO before (heard of, but not heard). Pantera did a great job at keeping metal alive in the 90's and had more success then most of the metal bands had. Pantera did start going down the shit hole towards the end of the 90's.

Pantera's cool, but come on, it's fuckin' Motörhead for goodness sakes. I wish I had the patience to make a 64 band tournament and throw in bands like Stormtroopers of Death, Cradle of Filth, and other cult bands and really shake it up. I wonder if AoO will vote for Dio or Metallica?! For those who don't know, AoO holds a seething hatred for Metallica that burns deep in the pits of his black soul. And as for the ö, I know how to do it, I was just lazy and didn't. And I think Mötley Crue has a funny u or e, I can't remember which.

Let's go with AC/DC, since they suck less. Alice in Chains vs. Ted Nugent: Ted Nugent is a talentless dickhole. Alice In Chains all the way. Guns N' Roses vs. Thin Lizzy: Guns N' Roses, although this was a toughie. Def Leppard vs. Megadeth: Megadeth. Another no brainer. Black Sabbath vs. Ratt: Sabbath. Motorhead vs. Pantera: Motorhead. Pantera does not compare, at all. Van Halen vs. The Cult: Umm.... *flips coin* The Cult Motley Crue vs. The Scorpions: The Crue Metallica vs. Dio: Metallica Deep Purple vs. Alice Cooper: Alice Cooper KISS vs. UFO: UFO Judas Priest vs. Slayer: Jesus, this is the hardest choice so far.
