ROH Do or Die results

Guest Phoenix Fury Legdrop

These come from our good buddy BarrMark from the DVDR board....

In the showcase card:

one of the Outkast Killas beat Paul E. Normous

Dunn and Marcos beat Special K (Slugger and Hydro)

Persephonie beat Alexis Laree

Regular Show:

They announced that Chance Beckett couldn`t make the show to a family emergency so Jimmy Rave would take his place. They also have a pretty new ring canvas and guard rail covers that make great noise.

Danny Maff beat BJ Whitmer in a good match. Crowd was slow to warm up to the match but they were real into it by the end.

J-Train (now called Julius Smokes) came out to confront Danny Maff as to why he turned on Homicide, Low Ki came out and got in both guys faces. Cool segment with alot of future bookings hinted at. Homicide came out and got attacked by Trent Acid.

Tony Mamaluke beat Jason Cross in a heated technical match.

Iceberg squashed one of the Outkast Killas and the crowd totally shit on him :( Lots of DON`T COME BACK chants, a shame people don`t give him more of a chance.

Matt Stryker beat Tom Carter in a really great technical match with off the charts crowd heat. Reckless cut a heel promo after them match and Stryker challenged Carter to a submission rematch on 6/28. Alison Danger came out and basically offered Carter a shot in the Prophecy but he turned it down.

CM Punk and Colt Cabana won the scramble, sick-ass match with some great action. Less spotty and more just fast-paced action than alot of scrambles. Afterwards Punk cut the promo of his career, it can`t be described so just get the tape.

Andy Anderson beat someone in a match that no one really cared about since intemission was just ending.

Christopher Daniels won an amazing 4-way with CM Punk, Frankie Kazarian and Jimmy Rave. Daniels teased offering Frankie and Rave spots in the Prophecy. He basically offered one to Punk, Punk said he would accept if Daniels would shake his hand. He didn`t.

Backseat Boys beat Slim J and Jodie Fliesch. Cool match with some amazing spots but sort of fell apart towards the middle. Super crazy spot in which Jodie and slim did stereo moonsaults off a huge scaffolding.

Joe beat Homicide to retain the ROH title in a brutal match. Better than their first match, both men showed great fire and lots of new stuff.

Great show overall, can`t wait for the tape. For 6/28 they now have:

Carter vs Stryker Tap-Out Match

Raven vs Punk Extreme Death Match

AJ and Red vs. London and Jodie

Homcide vs Trent

F-ck ROH fans for being dipwads and booing Iceberg. At least Rave got showcased well....

ROH is the wrong environment for Iceberg. Though you'd think he'd be fine in a scramble match...

Hopefully 'Berg will be in the Extreme 8 and TOD2, and can redeem himself there.

I just got back from the show and damn that might of been the best ROH show yet. Five Awesome matches and another two above average matches. Slim J and Fleisch's moonsaults off the scaffold was sick. Joe and Homicide's match was fucking stiff and insane, crowd was going nuts.

That stinks that Chance Beckett couldn't make the show. I was interested to hear how he did. Oh well.

The show still sounded like it was pretty good.

RVD- What did CM Punk's promo centre around?

Mainly that he is Straight Edge and is better then everybody else and he wouldn't join the prophecy unless Daniels shook his hand. Both of promos (after each of his matches) were great.

Future of the fucking business.

EDIT: I can understand why they shit on Iceberg. Jeez, I mean the poll on the RoH website was 'Do you want more superheavyweights in RoH?' and it was an overwhelming 'NO!', yet they bring in this guy anyway.

Oh yeah, I heard that the finish to Homicide/Joe was a Mexican Stretch Buster from the top. What exactly is a Mexican Stretch Buster?

Good show overall, but the 4 way was NOT great, but instead slow and ill-paced. Stryker/Carter and Homicide/Joe were both awesome in totally different ways, though, and made the show what it was. I was about 2 feet from the double scaffold moonsault, which really blew my mind in that nice little spotfest of Backseat/Special K. Other than those matches and the Scramble though, the show didn't have anything else to offer matchwise, and the scramble wasn't as good as most of the others. Apart from matches, tho, Punk's promo was great and it was good to see Low-Ki out there.

I had fun.
