Guest Kingpk Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 ESPN has a LOT of programming hours to fill, on TWO channels no less, so you have to expect some odd things on at late hours. When they first started out in 1979, they had things like log rolling, skeet shooting from England, and the World Frisbee Catching Championships. They should bring back Two Minute Drill, though, that show was good.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Sumo Digest rules it. I watched Kasparov vs. Deep Blue as well.
Guest two_tuff_toddy Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 "They should bring back Two Minute Drill, though, that show was good." I totally agree. That was one of my favorite shows ever and the host was great. I wander why they took it of anyways. "Sumo Digest rules it." I love this shitl. Yokohana is the man. I also want to say that I have a strange fascination with the spelling bee and have to watch it whenever it's on.
Guest DrTom Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I watched Kasparov vs. Deep Blue as well. Ditto. I actually meant to go somewhere the last time it was on, but I instead blew that off and watched the entire matchup. It was very interesting, especially from the perspective of someone who doesn't play chess often enough to be as good at it as he probably should be.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 I used to be pretty damn good at it. My dad taught me when I was pretty little, and I beat just about everyone I play in person, although more often than not, I get stomped when playing on the internet.
Guest notJames Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 I just wish they would show Jeanette Lee (The Black Widow) more. She is smoking… I agree. Too bad she's only ranked 4th or 5th. The top dogs are literally dogs… not easy on the eyes at all. Methinks the majority of the ladies billiards players might be of the "German women's swim team" persuasion, if you catch my drift…
