Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 IT KEEPS FUCKING FREEZING ON ME~!
Guest tpww7 Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 This board on the other hand...is freezing.
Guest goodhelmet Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 ok, now that he is done shilling his book, i would to hear mick's take on the current state of wrestling.
Guest bravesfan Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Foley, Meltz and Alvarez discuss Kurt Angle next.
Guest MrHell Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Foley's book isn't the kind of thing that I'd read, but I'm very curious to see how well he did on it
Guest goodhelmet Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 ok, all of these interruptions are getting on my fucking nerves. he should have scheduled mick better instead of cutting him off mid sentence.
Guest JAxlMorrison Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Mick Foley is my favorite wrestler of all time...........but the season finale of Six Feet Under is on, I can't miss it.
Guest MrHell Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 First they cut Mick off, and now they lose him completely. And another freakin' break ...
Guest Repo Man jr Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Dave: "Mick what do you think of current wrestling?" Mick: "Well, I think that.." Dave: "...We have to head to our next break"
Guest tpww7 Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 It was suppose to be Foley-Vince at Mania 17?
Guest Repo Man jr Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Sounds like Mick reads the Observer.
Guest goodhelmet Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 It was suppose to be Foley-Vince at Mania 17? yep, but he ended up being the guest ref instead.
Guest Repo Man jr Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Read the first chapter of his book on Amazon.com
Guest goodhelmet Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 man, foley has said a whole lot of nothing on this show
Guest Heavy As Hell Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Is WOL rerun or is this the only time to listen to it? WOL is rerun at 6am eastern monday morning
Guest Repo Man jr Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 haha dave is such a bad host.. Dave: "So, uh... well, uh, so, uh... let me see, so, uh, how was, uh... anyway, we are going to... uh, we are... going to a break, uh, yeah, OK!"
Guest Heavy As Hell Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Mick makes an interesting point there about Benoit being like an almost generic heel, when he could show a bit of his 'genuinely nice guy' side and give the people something to get behind. Since these days in WWE he'd pretty much have the market cornered on that character. Would be an interesting thing to see i think.
Guest HartFan86 Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I was just about to post that about Benoit. Something tells me if they just gave Benoit the gimmick of "I like him because...he's just a good guy" makes me think that could be the gimmick to push him to the top. He's obviously got the skills...just let Benoit be who he is in "real" life instead of something that he's really not...and that's a "rabid wolverine." The beginning of it with Foley was eh with the talk about his new book...but it got extremely good. It's too bad they cut him off 20394832 times, though.
Guest Repo Man jr Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Heh love the ending Dave: "Thank you Mick" Mick: "Oh, no, thank you Dave. And I just wanna say.." Dave: "We're outa time!"
Guest HartFan86 Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 "We are TOTALLY out of time!" That show is so disorganized as far as format goes.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Greatest Running Gag in WOL history. Man, is Foley long-winded or what? Just when you think he's finished the story, BAM "and another thing".
Guest Heavy As Hell Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I was just about to post that about Benoit. Something tells me if they just gave Benoit the gimmick of "I like him because...he's just a good guy" makes me think that could be the gimmick to push him to the top. He's obviously got the skills...just let Benoit be who he is in "real" life instead of something that he's really not...and that's a "rabid wolverine." Of course, without sacrificing his intensity in the ring. In the ring, same guy. Outside the ring someone the fans can rally around as a good person and positive role model.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 His promo on the Royal Rumble DVD is top notch. He wants to win the title to make all the sacrifices he has made in his 17 year career, all the sacrifices that his wife and children have made, mean something.
Guest HartFan86 Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Exactly...that's what I was thinking of, Rick, when Foley was talking about this. And you know what it kind of reminds me of? Bret Hart. Bret was just a good person who basically lived his character. It would almost be fitting if Benoit were to have the same gimmick..and it WORKED.
Guest Heavy As Hell Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Let's hope Vince was listening. hahahahahahahahahahahah
