Guest croweater Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I was just on a wrestling news site and saw this title...... it made me feel sick. On further inspection Nash won the title at a house show.......... and then the decision was reversed by the referee. Firstly........ There is no reason for this booking, seeing that Nash is the "face" and it surves no purpose. I feel so sorry for all those people who attended the house show and actually thought that Nash had won the world title................ the pain they must have gone through. Please. A moment's silence for respect for the witnesses of this scary piece of booking, and a prayer for hope in the future. Dear God, Allah, Ra, and Bret Hart hear our smarks prayers We want the title off HHH......................... but not that badly Amen
Guest Quik Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 If Bret is God, does that make Benoit Jesus?
Bored Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Bleh I so don't care if Nash wins or not and I'm suspecting him might but the title is meaningless. If it were for the title that Brock Lesnar is wearing it'd be another story but let the Raw title continue to be the Clique circle jerk title for all I care.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Maybe they're practicing for the PPV.
Guest CanadianChick Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I really don't care. I don't care about the title or it's contenders/champion. You want to know something funny? The world tag team match may get a better reaction than a fricking HIAC match for the world title. Sad.
Adam Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 As much as I want the title off The Shame, I hate Nash just as much. I hope they both lose the title in a double pin and their is a tournament to crown a new champ. But then I will wake up.
Guest Kingpk Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 They've done stuff like that before at house shows, just to judge how the crowd reacts. I remember reading about Lex Luger winning the title in a show prior to Wrestlemania X.

Guest croweater Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Any Heat match prior to the PPV will get a better reaction. Nash isn't over and can't wrestle. HHH isn't that over and can barely wreslte..... It could be the worst Main event in a long time.
Guest raptor Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 They've done stuff like that before at house shows, just to judge how the crowd reacts. I remember reading about Lex Luger winning the title in a show prior to Wrestlemania X. If they did it to gauge reaction, I hate to tell you that the place exploded when he "won" the title. They may have hurt themselves, however. The crowd was pretty hot all night (first show in Portland in 10 Years), and all of their reactions were larger than normal.
Guest JMA Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 No matter how much we dislike Triple H, we all know Nash is much worse. At least Triple H used to be good (in 2000). He's still not Nash bad (but who is?). Hunter wouldn't be even be half as hated as he is if he didn't play politics. Whereas with Nash you have a guy who has played politics longer AND is a bad worker. Sadly, Triple H is the lesser of two evils. But it doesn't really matter. Nash IS going to win. That's a fact. Then, Hunter will be traded to Smackdown to avoid having a match with Goldberg. This will leave Nash to take down people like Jericho and Christian. Thus we have a Kliq member on each show. Sad, but true.

Which means Vince will think the people want to see an extended World Title run for Big Lazy.

I doubt other crowds will be anywhere near receptive.

We don't know shit. No hints of trades in the last few months at all. It COULD happen, it's not GOING to happen.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 My main hope is that Nash lifts up HHH for the jacknife, his quad blows and he ends up giving HHH Droz Driver 99 as a result. 2 birds with one stone. No I don't really wish injury on them, but God help us all, that scenario is quite likely.
Guest sean pyro Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Naw man, Nash will use the 'Heart Punch' followed up with the deadly 'Claw' to Mid-section.
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Nash might make an acceptable transitional champ if they want to get the belt on Goldberg ASAP. Because lord knows HHH will do whatever he can to avoid jobbing to Goldberg, especially for the strap.

It COULD happen, it's not GOING to happen. Well, it's not technically a fact. Nash could always get injured or piss someone off in management. Still, I've learned to be cynical when it comes to WWE.
Guest croweater Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 If Nash wins the title I'm GOING to stop watching WWE tv. It will be the straw that breaks the camels back. Putting Nash over when he can't work a match to save his life after Booker T, Jericho, RVD and Kane have all been jobbed one after the other! It is disgusting and makes me sick. With Nash and Goldberg as the lead men, Jericho and Booker T never have a hope.

That's cool. When you write posts like that it just makes you look like an unreasonable cynic, instead of a regular cynic like the rest of us.
Guest KJ Brackish Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I personally feel, IMO, that they should just put the title on HBK and let him run with it for a while...see the direction the company takes. I personally feel it will bring something good back. I know it has brought back alot of my friends to wrestling. DFA P.S. Yes I am one of the little remaining HBK marks left in this world.
Guest bob_barron Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 They put the title on HBK. It BOMBED. The buyrate for Armageddon was one of the lowest buyrates in 5-6 years.
Guest Ray Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 I really do not think Nash will win the title. They will keep Triple H strong to face Goldberg.
Guest KJ Brackish Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 They put the title on HBK. It BOMBED. The buyrate for Armageddon was one of the lowest buyrates in 5-6 years. I agree, but nobody actually EXPECTED HBK, to win the title. I for one didn't think that he would. I know that he would be put over until the end, but job to trips....SURPRISED the heck outta me. When they found out later on that he had won, it *might* have been well after. I know that HBK=Ratings....if it wern't for that fact, HBK would be like Foley... at home eating twinkies. Just my opinion on things. DFA P.S. That is why I think they should give him the title and let him RUN with it, at least 2 PPV's......
Guest T®ITEC Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Shawn Michaels does not "equal" ratings. Wouldn't the ratings be higher than they are now, if that were true? When was the last time he spiked the ratings? Shawn Michaels is too old and unmotivated to do anything worthwhile with the belt.
Guest Mole Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 If Nash wins the title, I will not watch Raw anymore.
Adam Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 Well, RAW is the only show that I can get where I am, so I pretty much have to put up with it or watch ECW Hardcore Heaven for the 25th time (yes it is a good PPV, but after 24 times it gets boring, except RVD-Lynn)
Guest jester Posted June 2, 2003 Report Posted June 2, 2003 In the world of evil politics, it would be a good time for HHH to drop the belt. Nash's reign is bound to flop, so he'll get the belt back quickly. Plus, it's going to a buddy who will cooperate. After HHH gets the belt back, he vetoes any jobs he has to do, as he just lost the belt recently and he shouldn't be booked to look weak so soon. Alternatively, without the Raw belt he can go over to Smackdown in time to de-pants a returning Angle, or beat Brock.

HBK winning the title at SS was a forgone conclusion, as was his dropping the belt right back at Armageddon. It was pretty obvious to anyone. HBK does not equal ratings. He gets a nice pop, but that's it.
