Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Wolverine Batman Voting closes Friday. Pick the character you like best and let the best man win. Batman defeated Spider-Man 12-5 Wolverine defeated Captain America 10-7
Guest raptor Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 WOLVERINE! WOLVERINE! If he doesn't win, I'm invoking Florida: 2000!
Guest starvenger Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 When in doubt, vote for the guy who cheats to win. I vote for Batman
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Superman...oh yeah, he got fucked over. Batman it is.
Guest JAxlMorrison Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 I'll have to say Wolverine all the way baby.
Guest pochorenella Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Everybody and their grandmother knows that Spider-Man is the greatest comic book character ever! I'm afraid this has been a popularity contest, so I demand a revote! I'm not getting a revote? Uh..., ok. (There's no justice in the world. Spidey, you know you're The Man) I'll stick to the Marvel guy for lack of another choice. Wolverine.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 You're afraid this has been a popularity contest? Hell, that's what all these things are, right? And in my world, only one superhero is most popular with me. Batman.
Guest Cancer Marney Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 Batman. There shouldn't even be a question here.
Guest netslob Posted June 3, 2003 Report Posted June 3, 2003 damn, this is hard...im gonna go with Wolverine, only because he's willing to kill his opponent, whereas Batman tries to avoid killing at all costs.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Batman. Fuck the Overrated Wonder.
Guest Flyboy Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 My name is fucking Adam West and I still voted Wolverine over Batman. That's showing love, right there.
Guest pochorenella Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 You're afraid this has been a popularity contest? Hell, that's what all these things are, right? I believe it was stated from the begining of the Tournament that this was about the MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTER. Not the one with the most fans, or who'd win in a fight. Under those regulations I say Spider-Man wins, hands down.
Guest La Parka Es Mi Papa Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 Batman. Wolverine = overrated fuck.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted June 4, 2003 Report Posted June 4, 2003 You're afraid this has been a popularity contest? Hell, that's what all these things are, right? I believe it was stated from the begining of the Tournament that this was about the MOST IMPORTANT CHARACTER. Not the one with the most fans, or who'd win in a fight. Under those regulations I say Spider-Man wins, hands down. Actually adhering strictly to those guidelines, I say Superman wins hands down with Batman second and Spider-Man possibly a distant third. Superman was the first major costumed hero, the first to achieve wide mainstream crossover appeal. The first to have a big movie, a big t.v. show, big movie serials. He's an icon known the world over, a symbol of America and American pop culture on par with Elvis and coca-cola. All heroes since have some small trace of Superman in them. But as I also said, you can use whatever criteria you want to use, it's your vote. I would like people to honestly vote on who they personally feel is the more important character (so you're campaigning for Spider-Man is cool in my book), but people want to make it a popularity contest, which most of these tourneys are, than it's whatever you want to make of it.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted June 5, 2003 Report Posted June 5, 2003 I'm not trying to flame or anything, but I've never been that big of an X-Men fan, so why is Wolverine so important? I mean, I've always known the character, but what he's done that's so important. See, with me, I'm a little biased. Batman was the first movie I saw in theaters, I grew up with the character. He's important to me, but in voting, I can't ignore the way he's changed comics and animation, and the movies were important until... Spider-Man came along. My second favorite hero, his movie indeed saved the genre even more than X-Men did, and he's had an awesome run with comics and cartoons, too. Of course, it's all in an opinion.
