Guest Addy Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Remember those great promos he used to cut and the heat he used to get. I cant believe they havent turned him heel yet, with all the faces the wwf now has, who is the main heel? Ive always thought Rock made a better heel than a face, his reactions havent exactly been roof lifting for quite a while now, maybe its time for a change.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 he's got a movie career to think of so he can't be a heel without potentialy ruining his movie career
Guest notJames Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 If all the reports are to be believed, then I think his movie career will ruin him more than a heel turn...
Guest Kevin Sullivan Booked My Divorce Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Plus, he is insanely over with the crowd...so turning him heel would be rather counterproductive.
Guest notJames Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Au contraire... Rock has gone from face to heel to face enough times to know he'll maintain his heat whatever he does. He's so damn over that half of his heel actions would get cheers anyway, ala Austin of last year. Even if he tooled on Hogan, most of the crowd would probably throw a ticker-tape parade for Rock.
Guest muzanisa Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Turning him heel on Hogan would be counter productive if Hogan's on a two week nostalgia pop. Turning him heel before his movie is out would theoretically harm his movie. Turning him Heel on HHH would probably not work because people would probably still cheer him and would turn on HHH. Wait a while and have it mean something. I agree that he's much better as a heel and I think that people are wanting to boo him again. The danger is they leave it too long and He'll turn back into the blue chipper. But at the moment apart from Austin and Hogan there's no face that he could have a program with without ending up more popular than them and if Hogans crowd reactions revert like they did in WCW and Austin doesn't resolve whatever is going on then they're screwed.
Guest dreamer420 Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 The Rock's heel heat is off the charts some times with all the terrific Rocky Sucks! chants. I miss the Rock from 99 that was the cockiest bastard in the WWF and he didn't care.
Guest caboose Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 he was such a bastard when he was heel it was insane, he really made you want to hate him, but he was so cocky and funny, he made you want to cheer. this is basically the same problem the wwf has today. personally i'd love to see the 'corporate champion' lift the 'corporate eyebrow', drop the 'corporate elbow', and then tell the crowd how they are pieces all of 'trailer park trash' and shouldn't sing along with the 'great one'.
