Guest JMA Report post Posted June 4, 2003 We all know the pain of losing a good show because a of a network's idiocy. Which shows do you think were unjustly cancelled way too soon? Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 4, 2003 Well Fox didn't really cancel Family Guy early. It was on for nearly three seasons. Fox just screwed the show over from the start and the bad ratings that earned the show led to the death of the show. Fox never gave the show the ability for the show to live. They sabotaged the show from within more than they "Cancelled it too early".

Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted June 4, 2003 I second Sports Night. Also, I add Now What?
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 4, 2003 Yes Fox has a nasty habit of killing off good shows that I like. I really do hate the channel, but sadly they are always picking up shows that interest me. So despite my hatred of the channel I still must watch. Speaking of good shows I like being cancelled by Fox. That new show "Keen Eddie" is on now and I like it, so I can guarantee it'll be officially canned by fall. Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted June 4, 2003 Speaking of Fox: John Doe. I'm so pissed they didn't bring it back. Now it looks like nobody's going to take it. I read an interview with one of the show's producers in which he said they have the story planned to last for 6 or 7 seasons. Which makes its cancellation even more aggravating. Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted June 4, 2003 Clerks That's a good one, especially hearing some of the episodes that they had planned during the commentary.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted June 4, 2003 Clerks That's a good one, especially hearing some of the episodes that they had planned during the commentary. Jay in a boy band would have been classic.

Guest JHawk Report post Posted June 4, 2003 I also second Sports Night. ABC gave that the Fox-Family Guy treatment.

Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted June 4, 2003 "Push, Nevada" got aborted pretty quickly last fall. So much for paying off the $1 million for solving the mystery.
Guest Riots bloodlust Report post Posted June 4, 2003 Viper. The original one. But then again, from what I have been able to tell, I'm the only person who liked that show and didn't see it as a Knight Rider knockoff. Invader Zim. Why won't they at least play the remaining episodes that have been finished?
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2003 Clerks Hell yes. And I second Invader Zim.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted June 4, 2003 I also second That Was Then. I don't know if it would have ever found an audience, but giving something two episodes and expecting it to work is just lunacy. If all networks would have had that line of thinking, Cheers never would have made it past six episodes.
Guest Brush with Greatness Report post Posted June 4, 2003 Undeclared The Street (or whatever it was called. Guest Vyce Report post Posted June 4, 2003 Cupid. Farscape (it wouldn't have killed you to give us one FINAL season, you Sci-Fi assholes) Speaking of good shows I like being cancelled by Fox. That new show "Keen Eddie" is on now and I like it, so I can guarantee it'll be officially canned by fall. I enjoyed the pilot / first episode as well. But yeah, I'm thinking that FOX will look at it, and since it ain't getting "24" type ratings, will automatically cancel it.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted June 4, 2003 "Push, Nevada" got aborted pretty quickly last fall. So much for paying off the $1 million for solving the mystery. You must have missed the last episode where they told people to watch MNF for the final clues to get the million dollars, which they did give away. All the clues ended up being converted into a phone number to call that night. I missed it by about 10 minutes trying to figure out the phone number after I realized it was a phone number. They did in fact give away the million dollars though. And I have all 7 eps on tape.
Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted June 4, 2003 FARSCAPE! God, I hate how Scifi screwed over the fans and the show itself by canceling one (if the only one) of their best shows and then calling it "it's natural end"! Oh well, at least they have Scare Tactics being broadcasted every two hours (crappy show). Anyways. I really don't understand why everybody thinks Clerks: the Animated Series was a great show. I watched the dvd, and while I love Kevin Smith's work, the show was awful. I don't think the creators (or the ABC execs) knew how to write an animated show (Although the commentary was hilarious). Guest Lethargic Report post Posted June 4, 2003 I think any show of half ass decent quality which only recieves one season or less is cancelled too early. The second season is where a show should really get the ball rolling and hit it's stride and catch on. If it doesn't get a rating then, cancel it. I thought Smallville was pretty mediocre in it's first year but in the second year really took off got really good. Hell, even that X-Men Evolution cartoon was friggin horrible in it's first season. It seemed like every show was something stupid like the mutant kinds go to a monster truck show. But at the end of the season and going into the second season it really took off and got good because it brought a lot better stories into it, brought in Magneto, the Sentinels, the Morlocks, exposed the mutants, a whole lot of stuff happened and the show really got good but in it's first season, it was horrible.
