Just an idea, and I know people have suggested it before, but it might be a good idea to trash the NHB folder alltogether, that way trolls and twits won't have a place where they *think* that they can say whatever they please without having to face the consequences.

I never saw the purpose of a flaming or NHB folder ANYWHERE. All it does is invite the very thing that's unwelcome everywhere else. Why should it be okay to congregate and do it in one place and not another?

 

It's all just stupid. On top of that, someone got banned for saying something in here, the one place where they should technically be able to say whatever. I'm still baffled by that one.

 

I guess everyone's lost their heads and make up rules as they go along all to appease this "girl." Get it together, TSM. The shit's in the can and someone's hand is anxiously waiting to push down the lever.

I'm all for dumping this folder to. It's lost it's purpose. Either make it another social folder or just dump it.

 

As for the "flame war," Eagen loses since he was the first one to make reference to someone else's mother.

 

Make a reference towards a person's mother = white flag.

he wanted the porno and flaming folders done away with at WDI I believe...and was promptly bashed into the ground...

I only ever talked to the guy on a personal chat level a few times...and I never really clicked with the guy...probably because I enjoy watching flame wars and participating for the easy shots...

About the banning, Dames was correct, that particular offense wasn't ban worthy, but I see why it happened.

Banky may be the man of 1,001 user names, but Crucifixio Jones is the only one to make the multi-user name gimmick work.

as for the ban banky phenomenon, i made a comment that some "established" posters would have to change their posting habits and was specifically talking about banky. he is still the same guy in nhb but i doubt you'll see him flame-baiting or trolling in the puro folder . the guy even admitted he was a troll in a thread somewhere in this folder. there are reasons to ban banky but not since the "new" rules have been instituted.

 

eagan (and fuck the nonbelievers, the avatar rules), instead of creating a thread that invites bandwagon jumping and useless (and rather weak) flaming, maybe you should offer proof of something banky has done that is ban worthy. until then, your argument really doesn't amount to much.
