The Big Show

Recommended Posts

Guest RollingSambos

Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't seem like The Big Show is 7'2" legit. He doesn't even look 7'. Maybe it's that he's gotten WIDER over the years, but he just doesn't look that tall when compared to a guy like Nathan Jones, who looks every inch of his billed height of 6'11". If I had to guess Show's true height, I'd say 6'10".

Yeah, and he hasn't been 500lbs the entire time either, I heard one time he was down to like 470.

I've met the Big Show before. He was seated when I went to get my autograph, but he is a very big man. I made him hold his hand up so that I could put my hand up beside it, and he did so with an ink pen in his hand. My hand was at best half the size of his and I couldn't feel the pen. That's a big man...

Wrestlers are hardly, if ever, billed at their actual height and weight.

I don't think he's really that close to 500 lbs. More like 425, if that.

"Big Show is just too big to be measured accurately! That's right, fans. Nothing in WWE exists that can measure the big man! Come see us LIVE just to see how big he is!"

They should use that to market him, kinda like Yokozuna back in the day.

While we're on the subject, how tall legitamately was Giant Gonzales?

TBS is a legit 7'2", Giant Gonzales is a legit 7'6" or somewhere around there, and Andre the Giant was a legit 6'9"-7'2" depending on the time in his career you want to talk about.

I'm pretty sure the above is what guys like Scherer have said in the past, but I'll ask around and make sure.

5 foot even. It's all about the camera angles.

All I know is that he technically is the largest wrestler in the WWE, since Andre's disease caused him to become shorter later in life.

Have they ever announced a wrestler weighing less than their actual weight.

Matt Hardy said he didn't make weight for the CW title

They would probably do that with the women, if they listed their stats.

I'd say etiquette it's not really proper to give a woman's weight. That and it's not really intimidating when you hear a wrestler's weight announced as anything below 150 pounds.

Actuall, Terri weighs 7 1/2 pounds...

only after a big meal though.

This thread reminds me of the Holly's super-heavyweight gimmick they had going for a while. How big did Crash get up to... something like 6'6" and 400 lbs.
