Guest Redhawk Report post Posted June 6, 2003 Some people immerse themselves in offseason transactions: "Can you believe the Saints let Sammy Knight go even though he's only 29 and most safeties don't peak until they're 32? At least they drafted that safety out of Mississippi Valley State in the 6th round of the draft." Some people follow college recruiting: "Hell yeah! Drew Bledsoe's little cousin from Montana verbally committed to Colorado! Buff will be the shiznit in 2005!" Some people follow practice: "You going to the Sooners spring game?" "Damn skippy! I'm getting there early to so I can get front row on the 50." Some people follow other sports siumilar to football: "Hey, rugby's on!" Some people play Madden 2003 nonstop: "I lost to the freakin' Bears! Randy Moss had 15 catches for 275 yards, but Michael Bennett only had 12 yards rushing! Screw that, I'm trading for Priest Holmes." Some people do fantasy league research: "Should I keep David Terrell in my keeper league?" Me? I ended up watching NFL Europe at 3 a.m. FC Barcelona and the Rhein Fire or something like that. Man, I can't wait until August.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted June 6, 2003 I've been doing a couple things you mentioned: - Getting back in my Madden 2003 franchise (in 2008 with the Pats right now). I haven't touched it in 5 months or so - Catching the odd NFL Europe game - Actually starting to think about the 2003 SmartMarks Fantasy Football League (the Patriots bad play in the middle of last season KILLED me) - Considering writing a full NFL preview for the site (unless Dr. Tom beats me to it) So yeah, September can't come soon enough. Guest razazteca Report post Posted June 6, 2003 I am thinking about my fantasy football league potential #1 picks. So far I have given up on the Titans as potential picks. I was thinking about McNair as QB then realized that the WRs are having personal troubles. I am going with a RB as my 1st pick as usual.
Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted June 7, 2003 I do all of those. Just switch NCAA Football 2003 with Madden, I had both last year and I loved NCAA, got tired of Madden so I might only buy NCAA 2004 this year. I actually won my Yahoo league last year...was 1-5 after six weeks, dumped Warner and made other changes, traded for Curtis Martin...ended up at 7-8 and fourth in the league. It was a six-team league, but in Yahoo's system top four make the playoffs, so I scored two upsets in the playoffs to win.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted June 7, 2003 NFL 2K3, Madden 2003, and NCAA Football 2003 owns it for me. That's all I can do, really.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted June 7, 2003 Hey, I get Pro Football Weekly, should I post the more interesting tidbits once in a while? It'd save you the trip to the bookstore, plus the glare the owner gives you when you leave without buying it.

Guest El Satanico Report post Posted June 7, 2003 I follow the post season transactions, follow the draft, keep up on the training camp of my team and I play some Madden as well. As a whole I'm usually burnt out on Football after the Superbowl so I keep my distance when keeping track of the post season. When the fantasy leagues open up is when I start really getting back into it. Other than the NBA playoffs, some of the NHL playoffs and some of the World Series there's no other sports that I follow. Football post season is a sports wasteland as far as I'm concerned.
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2003 I usually check the news tidbits and whatnot. Once the football postseason is over, then I watch basketball and hockey until their postseasons conclude, and then I don't watch sports all that much throughout the Summer unless I can find something on. And then when the regular season kicks off, it's back to business and shit-talk as usual.
Guest two_tuff_toddy Report post Posted June 7, 2003 I'll usually check up on the off season happenings now and again as well as watch the occasional NFL Europe or Arena League game. I'm going to get into a fantasy league this year so I'll also be doing that. As far as other sports go, I'll watch the NBA playoffs until the Lakers job, catch the occasional Cubs game and watch a lot of golf.
