Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted June 7, 2003 Borrowing a page from some of the most disorganized promotions in history, the WWE's final television show aired earlier today, the day before the Insurrextion PPV in Newcastle, England. On the TV, they didn't announce one match for the show. While the live event has been sold out for weeks, to take the audience that much for granted with a PPV is almost mind-boggling in this day and age. It is believed the main event will be Scott Steiner & Kevin Nash vs. HHH & Chris Jericho. There may be a belief that with Steiner & Nash on top, it is better off for business to not announce the line-up. Guest bravesfan Report post Posted June 7, 2003 How is this different from other UK PPV's? The WWE has never, to my knowledge, announced matches ahead of time going into a UK PPV. Global Warning (Australia) headlined by Rock/Brock/HHH Rebellion 2002: Brock v. Edge Insurrextion 2002: HHH v. Taker Rebellion 2001: Austin v. Rock Insurrextion 2001: ??? Did we ever hear any of these matches announced on their TV shows pre-PPV?

Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted June 7, 2003 More signs WWE has lost it. And not their minds, their ability to properly promote a wrestling show. They have lost all assemblence of how to run a wrestling promotion. They have fucked up 2 fundamentals of wrestling. 1) booking to maximize box office, not appease locker room egos. (they have been fucking this up since 2001) 2) send fans home happy. How happy are those English fans going to be going home with Steiner and Nash in the main event? Guest JMA Report post Posted June 7, 2003 I hate how World Wrestling Entertainment caters to North American fans so much. Have they forgotten that "World" is part of their name? It doesn't help when they have nationalistic idiots like Steiner and Layfield on the roster either.
Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted June 7, 2003 Yeah, they need to be fired because they are patriotic on TV. No one from other countries can be expected to handle that.

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted June 7, 2003 Why are you calling Steiner a nationalistic idiot? For all we know WWE told him to say that stuff

King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2003 How is this different from other UK PPV's? The WWE has never, to my knowledge, announced matches ahead of time going into a UK PPV. Global Warning (Australia) headlined by Rock/Brock/HHH Rebellion 2002: Brock v. Edge Insurrextion 2002: HHH v. Taker Rebellion 2001: Austin v. Rock Insurrextion 2001: ??? Did we ever hear any of these matches announced on their TV shows pre-PPV? They actually announced all of the matches for the Insurextion 2001 PPV. And then, on the night of the show they changed EVERY match apart from the main event, which was Taker vs Austin and HHH. So to say Vince doesn't really give a damn about these PPV's is an understatement. But usually, they are announced somewhere. Just not on U.S.A shows, so they don't confuse all the American fans into thinking there's (another) PPV they forgot about.
Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted June 7, 2003 It's not like it's a huge effort to get Jim Ross or Michael Cole into a studio for 10 minutes to announce some matches, and putting that on Raw / SD- they manage it whenever they want you to buy an English PPV, or regular PPV on Sky Box Office. Guest Damn You Helmsley Report post Posted June 7, 2003 Surely on the WWE update on Smackdown they could have just had Josh Matthews annouce a few matches.
