best match tournament ?

since i see a diva tournament,would anyone be interested in a tournament of what everyone thinks are the best matches of all time.

16 matches seem reasonable.

Sounds good. I would say 16 to 32 matches would be good although you could do a 16 match tournament for 8 major promotions and then do a tournament with the 8 winners to get the best match ever. Just a thought. I would reccomend using the following promotions.

 

WWF/WWE

NWA

WCW

ECW

AJPW

NJPW

AAA

EMLL

 

I left out Joshi promotions since most people don't tend to like it or know anything about it.

I wouldn't categorize by promotion because WCW, and ECW, imo never had any really really great matches that would be considered top 16 or top 32 matches of all-time.

Good Idea.

I think 32-64 matches.

 

The main problem will be... be really honest about the matches. Because, for example, HHH vs Cactus, Street Fight, it could be ranked high, but right now everyone hates HHH and many could choose, I dunno, Rey vs Psychosis.

 

Or People being too much USA and bash Japan stuff. Or viceversa, we all know some puro heads live only to bash the WWE.

i think i will have 64 matches.i havent seen that much japan stuff though.i only know of about 8 matches from japan i was going to include.is this a problem ?

Include whatever you want. It's your tournament. If someone doesn't like it then they don't have to take part in it.

Maybe when you ask for suggestions, if some of us didnt watch the match the original guy could post some quick review or explain why this match is so good. That way we wont disqualify that match so fast.

No match in ECW or WCW, imo has been that great. The best was maybe ****1/4.
