Guest the 1inch punch Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 They might re-debut Rico and Jackie Gay Bar (ive got something to put in her)
TheFranchise Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Can someone explain to me why Rico is thought of so highly around here? Or am i missing his work in another fed?
Guest Lightning Flik Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Only two and a half hours away~! WEEEEEE~! LET THE SUCKITUDE BEGIN EARLY~! Hey~! I know~! Let's guess who's curtain jerking today~? My guess is Mack and Nowinski vs the Dudleys. Dudleys lose of course.
Guest geniusMoment Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Rico down in OVW was the best worker and best interview by far. He outclassed Lesnar in every way. He was looked at as the star that Cornette made and therefore when he came up Heyman hated him. He saddled him with that crap gimmick to get at Cornette, making his top star seem like a fool. Once rico left I stopped going to OVW shows as he was the only reason to go. Meltzer even reported that Heyman came up with the gimmick to get back at Cornette on WOL. Yet another reason to hate Paul.
Guest AndrewTS Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 So it was Heyman's fault? Hmmm... I find it ironic that Heyman of all people would "hold down" Rico with a gay gimmick. After all, those rumors... It's also heavily Heyman's fault that the only good Natural Born Thriller, Mike Sanders, never was called up to WWE. It's speculated he was just going to get Rico's gimmick anyway, though.

Im suprised nash's influence didnt get him in.
Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 cmon, Andrew, did u really think he was that great? i agree he was better than any of the other thrillers, but thats not saying much. He had good mic skills, but was on and off. his in ring skills werent anything to write home about either.
Guest AndrewTS Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 He'd only started getting a shot at anything other than Saturday Night jobber matches, and was already outshining the other Thrillers by leaps and bounds. The same Thrillers who still absolutely suck, may I add, yet still get TV time and pushes.
Guest Showstoppa Icon Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Frankly, it wouldnt bother me if NONE of the thrillers were on TV, although, i agree, if i had to pick 1, itd be sanders.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Are you sure it was Heyman? Everything else I've read said it was JR that hated Rico.
Guest Human Fly Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 Are you sure it was Heyman? Everything else I've read said it was JR that hated Rico. I thought JR called Rico up without consulting the writing team, and thus pissed the writing team off.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 9, 2003 Report Posted June 9, 2003 I'm hoping to see Hurricane wrestle Randy Orton. Might actually be a good feud there. Fued? Maybe. Matches would blow though. I'm not interested in the wannabe-heavyweight Hurricane against Green OVW Kid #4 Randy "OW!! I'm hurt again!" Orton. Foley coming back to promote that shithole main event makes me weep. I guess I can have Raw on in the background in case something cool happens. Actually it's spelled FEUD. Go look it up. Anyway, if he can stay healthy maybe it will work... And if Orton suddenly stops sucking in the next six days.

I find it somewhat hilarious that bookers like Heyman and JR would intentionally destroy peoples' careers, in their own company, just to embarass another booker. It's not surprising, but it's hilarious. I'm watching Raw for Foley, Jericho. The Mack, and Nash's potential injury. Notice how they don't even try to promote wrestling on the free tv shows.

Actually, I think Turbo and Gemini got pissed about Rico's showmanship in Powerball and decided payback would be a bitch, so they made a call to the WWE writing staff upon Rico's arrival...
ChrisMWaters Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Well, our two choices (Foley and Funk) are there...as well as Austin, The Rock, and Shane-O-Mac. Course, they put it on that dumb-ass WWE.com poll...
Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 They have the Hell in A Cell hanging from the ring tonight. I just saw it on TNN.
Guest Eagan469 Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 They have the Hell in A Cell hanging from the ring tonight. I just saw it on TNN. gee, I wonder if Austin and Kane will be fighting atop it...
Conspiracy_Victim Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Well I got off work early so I can post and watch this live. Yay, I guess. If Foley shows up, great. If not, it'll be par for the course as RAWs go. Actually I'm kinda hoping it ISN'T Foley, because if it is HHH can get pissed at a slow count or refusal to count, beat up Foley, then still go over Nash by putting on a striped shirt and counting his own pinfall at Bad Blood.
Guest Nevermortal Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Nice hair tonight for Crippz. Must've done some extra holding down tonight.
Guest Kingpk Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I STILL don't get why a "network for men" is called Spike TV and has such a femmy logo.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Yeah Austin you tell him! Bitch slap his ass! Don't spoil the big surprise too much there Steve .
ChrisMWaters Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Oooh....Austin saying "Have a Nice Day" ...meaning it probably WON'T be Foley...
ChrisMWaters Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 And we start off with Gillberg's big brother!
Conspiracy_Victim Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Goldberg curtain jerks! Man he went down the card faster than Steiner and RVD.
