Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye

From Bravewords.com

According to their website (www.pantera.com), veteran metallers PANTERA, who have been the subject of breakup rumors for the past couple of years, will be issuing a Best Of-style CD in

September through Rhino Records, a subsidiary of Warner Music Group. The tentative track listing for the album is as follows:

01. Cowboys From Hell

02. Cemetery Gates

03. Walk

04. Mouth For War

05. This Love

06. I'm Broken

07. Becoming

08. 5 Minutes Alone

09. Planet Caravan

10. Drag The Waters

11. Where You Come From

12. Cat Scratch Fever

13. I'll Cast A Shadow

14. Goddamn Electric

15. Revolution Is My Name

16. Hole In The Sky

Definitely wise of them to load up on Cowboys - Driven material, then put a couple of their covers amongst the stuff that came out afterwards.

Well for the love of suck, the downward slide ends with a thump as they release a greatest hits album to pay for rehab after they all break up. A shitty reunion album in 3 years, you heard it here first.

Cowboys and Vulgar are both top-notch metal albums, and Far Beyond Driven is mostly good...then there's Trendkill which has a song or two, and then the festering plastic disc of despair that is Reinventing the Steel.

Phil needs to chill out for a while, because his stuff's getting overexposed, and it's starting to suffer. Down's follow up was ok, but couldn't touch the first album (although to attempt to do so is madness)...Superjoint is incredibly disappointing and repetitive.

Oh come on! Superjoint is all...angry and shit...and...okay there is no argument to support that band. And I felt sorry for Down, as mentioned, following up that first album wasn't exactly something I would wanna try my hand at.

Anyways, Pantera is....well they're Pantera. Thats all I can say really.

Nola is quite possibly the greatest album that Phillip Anselmo has done vocals for. I mean, CFH is great, but that first down album is one of my favorite Metal recordes.

It's way better than anything else he's ever did, in my book, with maybe the closest thing in terms of quality being Vulgar Display of Power.

Better lyrics, better delivery, and a better band around him than Pantera. A top fucking notch cd that anyone could listen to.
