Guest Marshall Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I'll start... Visitor Q Vulgar Sonatine Gay Niggers From Outter Space I guess this is a game, add and comment on the movies if you've seen them.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Gay Niggers From Outter Space ...I have no words for this... How about: "I Killed My Lesbian Wife, Hung Her on a Meat Hook, and Now I Have a Three-Picture Deal at Disney"
Guest DVD Spree Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Visitor Q Gay Niggers From Outter Space Alas, I haven't come across those. Vulgar Sonatine NOW we're cooking. Vulgar is just odd on so many levels. Of course, it's famous for THAT scene, which kind of overshadows everything else. Not bad, though. Sonatine's probably my favourite Kitano flick, although in fairness they're all cool. The fucking speeded-up stuff on the beach cracks me up every single time. My additions: God of Cookery BOLO It doesn't get much more fucking obscure than BOLO. I would LOVE to chat to soemone else who's seen it.
Guest BorneAgain Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I haven't seen many obscure movies so these might be somewhat common. Eight Days a Week Pups

Shaolin Soccer is coming to the US soon, anyone seen the trailer? It's fucking funny a fuck! Here's the link: http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/shao...occer-tlr2.html
Guest Youth N Asia Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I got a copy of Shaolin Soccer a year or so ago. Very entertaining.
Guest Zack Malibu Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 From the Malibu library: The Party Animal Test Tube Teens from the Year 2000 Under Oath Lady Avenger Crack House
Guest J*ingus Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Sadly enough, Sonatine is the only one of the above that I've seen, though it's also personally my favorite Kitano flick, barely edging out Violent Cop. A few more really odd obscurities: Tokyo Fist Savages Backbeat Subway
Guest razazteca Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Free Money is by far the worst movie with Marlon Brando in it. Alien From LA Zu: Warriors From the Magic Mountain
Guest Spicy McHaggis Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Anyone see A Gentleman's Game with Gary Sinise and Dennis the Menace?
Guest the 1inch punch Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Vulgar is View Askew-made, isnt it Backbeat is pretty good, its about the Beatles, or something, i wasnt really apying attention
Guest evenflowDDT Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I've been dying to see God of Cookery and Shaolin Soccer for ages! Shaolin Soccer is coming to the US soon, anyone seen the trailer? It's fucking funny a fuck! Here's the link: http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/shao...occer-tlr2.html Just a warning to you and everyone else - do NOT see the upcoming theatrical run or consequent U.S. DVD release of Shaolin Soccer. It's been Disneyfied - redubbed, cut, the works. Great movie, and I was really looking forward to seeing it on the big screen, but I prefer movies unedited as the director originally intended, not dumbed down for an American audience. Oh, and if you have Visitor Q, I may have to find you, kill you, and steal your copy. I've been looking for that one for a while. I believe it's actually got distribution in the U.S. through Tokyo Shock but I haven't seen it anywhere. Or any Tokyo Shock release actually, with the exception of Gappa the Triphibian Monster which I somehow found for $9.99 at Suncoast.
Guest Marshall Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 I got Visitor Q on DVD! I got it from Ebay, did you try there? Anyone seen A better Place? Thats a View Askew movie too, also one of my favs.
Guest Redhawk Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Gay Niggers from Outer Space Someone PLEASE explain the details of this movie to me. It sounds like a gay porn or some KKK propaganda. Vulgar What is "that" scene? My additions: Fifth Ward MP Da Last Don Trois Trois 2; Pandora's Box
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Anybody seen American Movie? That's awesome.
Guest Anorak Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Anybody seen these? The Sexual Life Of The Belgians Junk Mail Last Resort The Firm Made In Britain Picnic At Hanging Rock Only a couple of those are really obscure in a quirky foreign type of of way (the first two) but they're all interesting for different reasons.
Guest Anorak Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 Anybody seen American Movie? That's awesome. Yeah, i've seen that, it was very funny in parts. If you try a search you might come across a brief but detailed discussion a couple of us had about it quite some time ago (concerning the issue of director exploitation I think).
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted June 10, 2003 Report Posted June 10, 2003 $la$her$ Series 7: The Contenders The Item
Guest godthedog Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 tout va bien i live in fear umberto d. and my personal favorite...sweet sweetback's baad asssss song
Guest notJames Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 So far I've only seen Backbeat (advanced screening) and American Movie, which I thought was so funny and depressing at the same time. I wish they hadn't told him that it was pronounced "KUH-ven" instead of "COE-ven". I've mentioned these before, but I don't know too many who have seen the following: Buffalo '66 Niagara Niagara Love Serenade Tie Me Up Tie Me Down Delicatessen The Butcher Boy
gWIL Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 The Item is at my Blockbuster is it any good? Anyone seen The Ugly?
Guest LaParkaMarka Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 $la$her$ Series 7: The Contenders The Item I totally saw Series 7. Interesting concept, but I was disappointed by it. Ok, I have a few flicks for y'all: Gappa Inframan Faster, Pussycat, Kill, Kill! Fantasy Mission Force
Guest Ray Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 Savior Europa, Europa A Midnight Clear Don't know how "obscure" those are......but I never hear anyone talk about them.
LaParkaYourCar Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 The Quest (not the Van Damme movie) - it's the one where the kids are investigating what appears to be a monster on the bottom of a lake, but it ends up being a Bulldozer covered in weeds. The Great Peanut Butter Solution (I think that's the name of it. It freaked me out as a kid is all I remember)
Guest Zack Malibu Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 Last Resort If it's the 80's comedy with Charles Grodin, Jon Lovitz, Phil Hartman and co., I own it. Got it on DVD for $4.00 at WalMart a year ago.
Guest El Satanico Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 Gay Niggers from Outer Space Someone PLEASE explain the details of this movie to me. It sounds like a gay porn or some KKK propaganda. Well I was assuming that it was an older movie before gay meant homosexual and that the title meant "Happy Nigger From Outer Space". However, I just looked it up and I'm wrong. It's from 1992, it was made in Denmark and it's a sci fi spoof. Gay Niggers from Outer Space
