Metallica Video Game???

Recommended Posts

So I stick the new Metallica CD in my computer and there's an ad for a Metallica Video Game coming in 2005.

All it shows is shots of an Big Rig Truck while some Metallica music plays.

Anyone heard what this is going to be like?

The Metallica Game will be a landmark, high-action vehicle combat game. Players will find themselves in the treacherous, brutal wastelands of a post-catastrophic USA, in a high-speed battle for their very survival.

Imagine an epic story, packed with fully customized vehicles and weaponry, endless terrain, desperate and murderous opponents and TONS of action--all backed by kick-ass music, inspiration, video and other exclusive content from the band!

Sit tight, more to come...

Coming to game consoles 2005.

Sounds to me like a Twisted Metalish game.

Another Twisted Metal rip off? Isn't there enough of those?

At least it isn't a sub-par shooting game like Revolution X or Ed Hunter.

It's going to have a Metallica soundtrack to it and they played old Metallica music in the preview.

Why isn't it being released until 2005 though? Will it be on the next generation systems?

So, what does that have to do with Metallica?

What does half the shit that band markets off as 'merchandise' have to do with Metallica?

It's probably featuring Lars trying to kill all the P2P software users downloading his music...

so.... Metallica is the new KISS.... excellent.

I think they need to have a godawful movie, a coffin, and their own gimmicked wrestler to approach that level.

Plenty of musicians have had games. Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, Iron Maiden's Ed Hunter, Aerosmith's Revolution X, Journey was in a game, GTA Vice City had plenty of 80's bands, and there was a planned Ozzy PC game that was in development.

Of course, most of them sucked or were average.
