Guest thebear Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 I personally think that either of the dudley boyz should make a run at kotr... I also think it should be the first inter promotional thing, maybe have the raw bracket with 16 wrestlers, and the smackdown bracket with 16 wrestlers... have the winners meet in the finals or something
Guest muzanisa Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 WM only for cross promotional stuff. MA Maybe Brock in complete monster squash mode. That gives him a title that he doesn't have to defend or job.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Here is what the Brackets SHOULD be First Round X-Pac vs. Tajri RVD vs. Jeff Hardy Matt Hardy vs. Hurricane Test vs. Edge Storm vs. Albert Tazz vs Kane Billy Vs. Chuck DDP vs. Christian Second round X-pac vs. RVD Hurricane vs. Edge Storm vs. Kane Christian vs. Chuck Semi Finals RVD vs. Edge Kane vs. Christian Finals RVD vs. Christian 2002 KotR-Christian, with help from Edge. The Brackets WILL PROBABLY Be Round 1 X-Pac vs. Tajri RVD vs. Jeff Hardy Matt Hardy vs. Hurricane Storm vs. Albert Test vs. Edge Tazz vs Kane Billy Vs. Chuck DDP vs. Christian Round 2 X-Pac vs. RVD Matt Hardy vs. Albert Test vs. Tazz Chuck vs. Christian Semi Finals X-Pac vs. Matt Hardy Test vs. Christian Finals Test vs. X-Pac Winner: Who the hell cares, the fans lose.
Guest tombstone Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Jericho. make it so that he will NEVER get a free title shot again and he has to win to get the title shot at Summerslam. if you make him a completely viscious bastard the weakness of the Undipsuted Title reign will be forgotten (more a HHH heel than a Flair heel). Final Four, jericho, benoit , Christain, Edge
Guest Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 I haven't heard one single thing about King Of The Ring this year. I wonder if WWF (or soon to be WWFE) are gonna cut that PPV right out since they wanna save the inter-promotional PPV's for the "Big" events like Wrestlemania & Summerslam. Personaly, if they do have it, I wanna see Benoit come back and win it. His last match was at ROTR last year, it would be awesome if he came back and won it this year at his first return PPV.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 aw crap X pac is SOOO winning this.
Guest buffybeast Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Fearhavoc, I hadn't even thought about that! How is the KOTR going to work with the split? And apparently this ppv is not going to be an interleague ppv. Interesting.......
Guest Anglesault Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 aw crap X pac is SOOO winning this. Of course. that's what I outlined in my post. If not Damnit to All Hell it's Fucking X-Pac then Son of a Bitch what Did I do to Deserve This, It's Test will win.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 I think Test is more likely than X-Pac of the two. Either would be awful, obviously. I'd choose a face Booker T to restore some of his lost credibility, or Lance Storm.

Test is going to be pushed, and pushed, and pushed some more, even if he never gets over.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 IF he never gets over? You think there is a chance of him getting over?
Guest notJames Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 I think that young up-an-comer Hulk Hogan that everyone's been cheering has a great shot at winning this year... Pie-in-the-sky: a rejuvenated and vicious Lance Storm Crushing reality: a lumbering and utterly boring Test As for X-Pac, he wouldn't lower himself to competing in such a ham-and-egger event. He's obviously proven himself to be ME material what with his scintillating talent for staying friends with the right guys... (sigh)
Guest Austin3164life Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Booker T should get the win, become a credible heel or face, and go in a long term feud with RVD for the Intercontinental Title. I know, you guys are going to tell me "Booker deserves a World Title feud". He does, there's no debate about that, but in order to gain back his credibility, he should do it by going after a popular guy. Booker T can work a good match, and so can RVD. If Booker wins the King of the Ring, he can go after RVD and his IC belt, and possibly get the IC belt at Summerslam (which gives RVD a nice 5 month long reign to restore credibility to the title)......
Guest notJames Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Actually, I don't think Booker is ready at all for a World Title feud. He was made to look like such a chump against both Austin and Rock that he's years away from getting that kind of credibility. And it seems to me he would work better as a face than a heel. His moveset is kinda okay but not spectacular (mostly kicking and head shaking), but he gets great reactions with that dancy thing I won't dignify by naming plus I think he can get the crowd on his side pretty easily, judging how the crowd cheered him that one time when they thought he was going to run down Angle. Plus, whenever I see him in that Hungry-Man Dinner commercial, he seems more at ease when he's smiling and laughing. And that's what really makes a good wrestling persona... when it's an extension of the real person. Politics what they are, however, I think Shane's pet project will unfortunately get the nod this year. Hey, JR thinks he's a hoss, and he's never wrong... ...right?
Guest muzanisa Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 It's a midcard thing now KOTR. Edge has done nothing with it. With Angle it worked because of that amazing rookie year. Billy Gunn......... If Test or X-pac do get it then it's gone as a real reward. That's why I like Lesnar getting it because they can continue building a monster push and have the midcard do their KOTR thing. If Benoit is going to win I want Jericho and Angle in there to add something to it. Same with any of the higher ranked midcarders.

Is there any chance Test WON'T win?
Guest Goodear Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Is there any chance Test WON'T win? There's about as much chance of Test winning the King of The Ring tornement as there is of you stopping with all the overdone-to-ridiculous-proportions Test bashing.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Brock Lesnar might win if they follow through his start and give him the full monster push. Why is it unlikely for Test to win?

There's about as much chance of Test winning the King of The Ring tornement as there is of you stopping with all the overdone-to-ridiculous-proportions Test bashing. Well, since my Test bashing is not overdone, That means the most unover upper midcarder ever (Test) will win the King of the Ring.
Guest Brian Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 It should Benoit, since that should cap-off his comeback.
Guest Goodear Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 Test is unlikely to win because he has 1) had zero angles since a two week Edge feud, 2) has been on TV like once every two weeks, and 3) usually loses when he's on TV anyway. And Anglesault, the reason the Test-bashing is overdone is because Test doesn't have a high or even visible profile on WWF programming right now. It would be like me coming on here and slamming Tazz everyday, who should really care that much?
Guest Anglesault Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 At least once a month, Test gets a minipush that fails. We are forced to see him with big people or in big story lines for about two weeks a pop.
Guest Goodear Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 I must be getting old, but I can't remember that push happening the last few months. The last thing Test had that even was close to a concerted push ended at Survivor Series.
Guest Anglesault Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 He tried to feud with rocky. it didn't generate enough interest to make it to the PPV. He had a January feud with RVD. No one cared. He was made to be the strong member of T and T in February. He injected himself into the Booker/Edge feud, but, and this is a shocker, IT DIDN'T TAKE.
Guest AM The Kid Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 1.Benoit 2.Storm 3.Rhyno(If he's back) 4.Lesnar 5.Christian 6.RVD
Guest Posted March 27, 2002 Report Posted March 27, 2002 I think it's safe to say that neither Xpac or Test will be winning the KOTR. (Me Hopes) Xpac don't need to win it and surely the WWF can tell that Test just isn't over and hasn't been since his great match (not technically) with Shane McMahon back at Summerslam 99 or 00 (Can't Remember) My picks to win this year would be from - Brock Lesnar Raven Rhyno (If Back) or Booker T Christian would be nice to.
