Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 (edited) SJL WRATH CARD Due: Sunday, June 15, 2003, @ 6 PM EDT Venue: Continental Airlines Arena, New Jersey! Send Promos & Marked Matches To: Thoth Note: We're five weeks away from Wrathapalooza. There are two Wrath episodes left. Anyone who wins their matches on the next two Wrath shows will have an advantage going into Wrathapalooza. I won't be saying what that is just yet, so just keep it in the back of your mind as you write your matches this week. OPENING PROMO: English Dragon #1 CONTENDERSHIP - SJL TELEVISION TITLE Shawn Tybalt vs. David Blazenwing Description: Rookie Shawn Tybalt was victorious on Metal against Cassius Atkinson. One more win will earn him a shot at the TV title! But he'll have to best the soundly established Blazenwing to do it. Rules: Standard singles match. Word Limit: 3500 Send To: Thoth GLOBAL CHAOS SINGLES MATCH "Canadian Thunder" Chris Trepanier vs. English Dragon Description: English Dragon unfortunately lost his title on Metal and is looking to avoid a losing streak. Here the Englishman takes on the Canadian, Chris Trepanier, in a match of global chaos! (No, they're not going to play Risk.) Rules: Standard singles match. Word Limit: 3750 Send To: Powerplay SJL TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Leo Breslin © vs. Jimmy "The Demon" Liston Description: Leo Breslin became the third two-time (two-time!) TV champion in SJL history with his win over English Dragon on Metal. Breslin won't have time to celebrate, however, as he puts the belt on the line against #1 contender Jimmy Liston. Rules: Standard singles match. Word Limit: 4000 Send To: Tod deKindes HANDICAP MATCH John Duran vs. "The Extreme Solution" Johnathan Clarke & Dan "The Phoenix" Caldwell Description: Well, the epic contest Grappler vs. Duran I was my pick for Match of the Night. These two definitely want to go at it again, and deserve to. Unfortunately, Grappler's busy with his latest challenger to the European title, so it'll have to wait. In the meantime, Duran will tangle with two recent additions to the SJL. Clarke and Caldwell are looking to keep their momentum after a big assist in Scott Solomon's gauntlet win over Spike Jenkins back on Crimson. Can they work together to defeat Duran? Rules: Standard rules. Clarke and Caldwell must tag in and out. Don't forget the tag ropes. Word Limit: 4500 Send To: realitycheck WE'RE GOING TO KEEP DOING THIS UNTIL WE GET IT RIGHT - SUBMISSION MATCH "Hollywood" Spike Jenkins vs. Manson Description: Well, not much came of Spike and Manson's scheduled inferno match. Well, if they won't set each other on fire, maybe they'll be more inclined to force each other into unconsciousness. The fans want to see it, dammit! Rules: No disqualification or count out. Competitors can only win by submission. Word Limit: 5000 Send To: Longdogger_Pete SJL EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP Charlie "Grappler" Matthews © vs. Scott Solomon Description: Solomon followed up his victory over Spike Jenkins with a big triple threat win on Metal. Solomon, we're still taking your request for a World title contendership match under advisement. In the meantime, here's the match you definitely earned: a European title shot against the seemingly unstoppable Charlie Matthews. Good luck, dude... Rules: Standard singles match. Word Limit: 5000 Send To: Thoth MAIN EVENT SJL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE VS. CAREER - HIGH STAKES CAGE MATCH Crow © vs. Va'aiga Description: The stakes don't get any higher. Va'aiga has cashed in everything he's worth in the SJL - including his career! - for one more shot at Crow and the SJL World Championship. Their last battle, and possibly the Maori's last appearance on SWF television, will take place in a steel cage and is not to be missed! I can't possibly hype this match any more than these two already have! You saw the contract signing. It's on now! Rules: This is a steel cage match. Competitors can only win by pinfalls or submissions (NOT by escaping the cage). There is also a 20 minute time limit in effect. If no winner is determined after 20 minutes, the match will be declared a draw, and Crow will retain the title. If Va'aiga loses this match, his SWF developmental contract will be terminated (i.e., he retires). Word Limit: 5250 Send To: WrestlingDeacon Edited June 11, 2003 by Longdogger_Pete
janusd Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 Nice card, Petey. Let's see if Spike and Manson show this time. And no Aecas? You sod.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 Can I get in a promo? I just realised I havn't done one at all yet.
Guest Crowe Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 (edited) You don't really have to ask. Just write a promo and ask for it to be slotted at a certain point during the show, ala between Spike vs Manson and Grappler vs Solomon. Though, if it's opening promo you want, you have to call it in this thread. Edited June 11, 2003 by Crowe
Guest Aecas Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 No Aecas because I need to get settled into this job, plus I think Aecas needs a day off after that last show Expect Promoage however
Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted June 11, 2003 Report Posted June 11, 2003 Opening promo called and edited in.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted June 12, 2003 Report Posted June 12, 2003 After looking over the card, I found something very wrong... Clarke and Caldwell are looking to keep their momentum after a big assist in Scott Solomon's gauntlet win over Spike Jenkins back on Crimson. Can they work together to defeat Duran? Solomon's gauntlet win over Me? I think credit is deserved where credit is due, and Clarke wrote just about the whole gauntlet. Not Solomon.
Guest Aecas Posted June 12, 2003 Report Posted June 12, 2003 ^ Agreed. It was Clarkey who pinned Spike, not Scott Solomon.
Guest Longdogger_Pete Posted June 12, 2003 Report Posted June 12, 2003 Sorry. I misidentified the winner of the gauntlet match. My Bad.
Guest Death by Numbers Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 I left over a month ago and the same people that I thought was going to be in the WF are still in the JL - Crowe, Viagra, Spik...err cross him out. What's going on? Anyways, I'm not back, but hopefully soon, I'm thinking in about 2 months once I get my computer back on and of course internet connection (DSL). I know people havent seen me around lately, well it's because I moved and I'm trying to get settled with a job and getting a new apartment with my wife and my un-born child. I'm writing this from my temp job in MCI, yes, you heard me, MCI. I'm only here one more week because I hate telemarketing, it's not for me. Although, next week I will be starting a new job, construction worker, and I will be getting paid a lot more so my situation will be better sooner. Anyways, hopefully people didnt forget about Quiet Death, because I will be returning, and your soul will be mine. QD
Guest Ace309 Posted June 13, 2003 Report Posted June 13, 2003 Good luck with that shit, man. And you know the WF's on a slower PPV schedule, right? The last PPV was early May, so the last bumps were Atlas and Dace. A couple are getting bumped for the 13th Hour PPV coming up in a week and a half.
Guest Goose749 Posted June 14, 2003 Report Posted June 14, 2003 I'm writing this from my temp job in MCI, yes, you heard me, MCI. I'm only here one more week You shall burn for exactly one week. anyway, we need people like Crow and Viagra in here. Otherwise, the JL would be comprised of people like me who don't know what the fuck they're doing. Congrats on the baby, and good luck with the new job.
Guest Death by Numbers Posted June 16, 2003 Report Posted June 16, 2003 It's understandable about that you need those people because if they were to go away then the JL will go under water and drown, dying, no breath. My question is, havent people signed up for Smarks? I mean, we're the shit (In my eyes), we have fun, (When you win) so what's the problem? Anyways, thanks for the support and shit, and people here better say happy father's day, if not, ya some dead mother fuckers. So, nothing new, anything change? What's going on with Smarks, who's the shit, and are the old timers still here? QD
