Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2003 Okay, so I'm downloading a PRIDE vid, that's about 572 MB. I leave it on, I come back the next day, and it still says that it's looking for a download. Fair enough, except that I also see that it has transferred 584 MB! Can someone please explain that, but it sure as hell is confusing the hell outta me.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2003 WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THIS THING?! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE?!?
Guest Marshall Report post Posted June 12, 2003 Donkey does that, it'll download a little more that because it sometime gets the same parts of the file, but should sort it self out in the end. I recomend that you get rid of edonkey and get emule, it does the same thing only quicker.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2003 THe thing with Edonkey is that it had about 15 MB extra, and I didn't know what the hell it was doing. It just kept looking for a transfer that never came, and I deleted it because I felt that the file might have been corrupted. Would there have been any way for me to find how much longer it would have taken to download? By the way, does Emule have this same problem? Is speed the only difference? Guest Marshall Report post Posted June 12, 2003 Donkey tends to do that more than Mule. Mule is way more reliable, it never crash no matter how much you're downlaoding. I normally get a gig a day with my mule!
