Just now on TNA it was announced that Sting will be on TNA next week. Glad to see he didnt sway towards the WWE. I do hope he doesent pull a Piper though.

Sting would/will be misused by both promotions. They both suffer from politics, although TNA's aren't nearly as bad as WWE's.

 

Sting should just stay out of wrestling, however if he is to come back to a mainstream promotion, I'd rather it be TNA. At least there he'd get a halfway decent push as opposed to WWE where he'd have to prove himself.

TNA is bringing him in for the one year anniversary next week...but they can't afford him full time. (nor would he be worth the money IMO).

Being the biggest Sting mark on the board, I have to say I do not like the idea of Sting going to TNA or even making it to the WWE. Sting's legacy is set in stone. The WWA gig should have been a farewell tour of Europe because he was even more popular this side of the pond.

I believe he would be the most successful of all the recent ex-WCW guys if he were to appear in the WWE, but I do not think he should risk embarassing himself ala Steiner (not that Sting would ever be THAT bad) or being booked like a schmuck ala Goldberg.

As for TNA, if Sting is using them to get a WWE contract. Both TNA and Sting are going to end up looking cheap.

Dude, The Rock didn't even budge the ratings for longer than a week. it doesn't matter who is on top, they are still going to be low. Its beyond the actual competitors. The writers need to give the fans somethign they actually WANT to see, something they want to invest their time in. Right now, its just mindless shit to appease the politicing wrestlers in the back. These guys care more about themselves than putting out an entertaining show.

WWE would probably put him on SD! since they have a lack of what they consider "big" names on that show.

I'd bring in Sting as an upper midcarder to put over younger talent, since guys like Undertaker refuse to and guys like Benoit and Eddie shouldn't have to yet, but his days of being a main eventer are long over.

Exactly! lets be real. i hope sting never steps foot in a major promotion again. he wasn't great in the ring since vader carried his ass ten years ago. i have no reason to think he would be worth watching now. everyone popped for piper until his fatass stepped into the ring. now, we wish he would just disappear. people popped for hogan, sable, nash (well, not nash) and none of them do the company ANY good. leave the old guys for the tape collections and press this company to start altering the way they go about grabbing wrestlers.

Amen..... I've never ever been a big Sting fan. From my perspective,he's been phoning in the same medicore match for a decade.....actually most of his career but I'll give him credit for the enthusiasm of his youth.

 

I pop for Piper but because of the personality. The expectations of him in ring were never high.

The bottom line with Sting is this.....He is starting to wrestle more regularly than normal because he is getting rid of the ring rust and he should be starting for the WWE around Summerslam.
