Guest bob_barron Report post Posted June 12, 2003 The Kliq tag match from Action Zone. Remember Sultan v. Goldust from the first SSN where Terri flashed her boobies? I also remember a Taker v. HHH fight on that show where they battled around NYC
Guest BifEverchad Report post Posted June 12, 2003 Diesel vs. Razor title change ... HBK vs. Candido ... Rockers vs. LOD I actually found that episode of WWF Superstars with the Razor/Diesel match on tape a little while ago. I remember marking out so bad, I loved Diesel at the time and was hoping he was gonna win the IC Title. Thats why I ended up taping it, with hopes of him doing so. Ah, memories.. Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted June 12, 2003 Well, then Superstars & Challenge didn't have any great matches cept for the one or two above mentioned. For some reason I thought you meant non Monday Night Raw matches.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2003 Well, then Superstars & Challenge didn't have any great matches cept for the one or two above mentioned. Sure they did. Those shows were on for 10 years apiece - they had more than 5 decent matches.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted June 13, 2003 I know i was being over-exagerative on that. a Classic match is Ricky Steamboat v. Honky Tonk Man, I think that aired on superstars.
Guest Frankie Williams Report post Posted June 13, 2003 Tito Santana and Paul Orndorff vs Randy Savage and Cowboy Bob Orton from WWF Championship Wrestling back in 1985.
Betty Houle 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2003 *Steamboat vs. Orton (Wrestling Spotlight) *Strikeforce vs. the Hart Foundation - title change (Superstars) *Hogan/Orndorf vs. Studd/Bundy for the angle alone! (I forget which show) *Demolition vs. Brainbusters - title change *Randy Savage vs. Virgil - World Title defense and a really decent match! (Superstars)
Guest Mr. Adam Report post Posted June 22, 2003 Bret Hart beating Bob Backlund on Superstars. Great match and Bob's snapping make it one to watch. Best saturday afternoon ever.
Guest MillenniumMan831 Report post Posted June 22, 2003 I liked Perfect vs. Santana in the IC Tournament Finals on SuperStars. Even though Santana was nothing more than a JTTS at this point, as the match got going, I actually thought Tito might regain the IC Championship while Perfect would go after Warrior. Plus, I found it weird that they each got a bye in the finals.
Guest The Amazing Rando Report post Posted June 22, 2003 I also remember a Taker v. HHH fight on that show where they battled around NYC Was this the match that had the Tombstone onto the escalator? THAT WAS FUCKING SWEET! I didn't think it was Hunter but he rode down it completely knocked out...
Guest HBKHater986 Report post Posted June 22, 2003 The best syndicated match ever was Bret Hart vs Bob Backlund on Superstars in
Guest JMTapes Report post Posted June 22, 2003 How about Michaels/Shinobi from '96? Not the best match, but pretty good.
Guest Lemon Drop Kid Report post Posted June 22, 2003 I'm not nominating it for one of the best, but I really enjoyed Bam Bam Bigelow vs Sika for some reason.
Guest Graham R Tripp Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Well this post certainly bought back alot of childhood memories for me, and not all of them good ones. Best matches that I remember; Bret Hart vs Sivi Avi British Bulldogs vs Hart Foundation - when Danny Davis did the full turn Ricky Steamboat vs Randy Savage - the bell angle Hulk Hogan vs Terry Funk
Guest Boo_Bradley Report post Posted June 26, 2003 I hate to admit it, but I always got excited for the weekly crap SStars match: Barry Horowitz vs Gold Dust Bigelow vs Duke Drose Aldo Montoya vs Lawler Koko B Ware vs Owen Hart Rick Steiner vs Jacques Rougeau Bushwakers vs IRS+ Ted Dibiase When SStars went off of syndication and moved to Sunday Mornings in Oct. 96 (?) that was the only point in my life since I was 2 that I had no connection or outlet to watch wrestling. I was barren until 2 weeks before WM when my neighbor started taping RAW for me! Sultan squahes a jobber (Marks out!!!) So basically I missed the formation of the NOD, The birth of Rocky Miavia, blue chipper, Flash Funk, Sid winning a World title, the return of Bret Hart, and the start of Stone Cold's mega push...
