Well, Sinead O'Conner's version of "Nothing Compares 2 U," for one.

The only thing that I like better about O Connor's version is she that she brought the emotion to the song.

cried once listening to "eleanor rigby" when i was 14, the song came up while i was writing a letter about how i was alone and nobody loved me. i think those were the worst 2 minutes of my life.

after i found out what "hold on" by sarah mclachlan was about, i would tear up over it for a year.

it's about a woman whose husband is dying of AIDS.

So now you're sleeping peaceful

I lie awake and pray

that you'll be strong tomorrow

and will see another day

and we will praise it

i STILL get choked up sometimes when i hear that part.

Oh shit, that's deep. I didn't know that.

Hold on, hold on to yourself.

For this is going to hurt like hell.

Two days ago I was thinking about things that happened two years ago, (before I had a sort of emotional breakdown), and on the radio they played '1979' by the Smashing Pumpkins. By the end of the song tears started rolling down my cheek. It was strange because I never really liked the Pumpkins, I just listened to the lyrics this time and they just choked me up.

Depending on my mood, Aphex Twin's 'Richard D James LP' makes me very emotional in places. That really shows his talent, because his music can effect me without lyrics.

Fiona Apple's "Never". I always cry like the wee bitch I am every time I hear it.

Evanescence's "My Immortal" made me blubber too. I swear, if they don't have this as a single soon, they're out of their minds.

You must mean "Never Is A Promise". Yeah, it's a good song.

I get a little misty-eyed during the Minutemen's "History Lesson Part II." It's a touching tribute to the joy of being in a band, made extra sad when you factor in D. Boon's untimely death. I guess you could add Uncle Tupelo's "D. Boon" which is a nice tribute in its own right.

"This is Bob Dylan to me

My story could be his songs"

I haven't cried over a song, yet. I get depressed, but usually get more violent than crying. Which sucks, actually. But Nirvana's Unplugged cover of "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" and Offspring's "Denial, Revisited" brought me close after a break-up.... one of those times when I turned into a whiny emo kid for about fifteen minutes.

Sarah McLachlan - I Will Remember You. (Only song that makes me cry everytime I hear it, it reminds me of my Mother.)

Nine Inch Nails - Hurt. (Trent puts his heart and soul into his music. I relate to this song so much. I also had a tear or two roll down when I watched the video for Johnny Cash's cover.)

Tool - Reflection. (This song is just amazing.)

Evanescence - My Immortal

Pearl Jam - Alive

Pearl Jam - Jeremy
