Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted June 14, 2003 It's just that though, before it was all inuendo, it's what made the show. Of course the gay couple stuff was always there but what made it so funny was it wasn't blatant and yet still obvious at first glance. We had Ren coming home after a long days work expecting a well cooked meal from Stimpy, we had him angry at Stimpy for watching such mindless tv shows, it was a stereotypical marriage basically so why the need to go out and say "there gay"!? As long as it's done in the same manner I wont mind, but if they try to be blatant about it for the sake of shock they've lost me. It never occurred to me that a cartoon cat and dog would be having anal sex. I've just been living in the dark for all these years. On the topic of sexually deviant Nicktoons, I've always suspected Mr. Dink was up to something.

Guest Flyboy Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I don't think it'll be as bad as some seem to think, but I'd like to see the show before making conclusions. As would I. That clip I downloaded was hilarious.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I never caught the homosexual overtones on that show, shockingly enough. But didn't the Bigheads have a gay Hollywood director son?

Guest Karnage Report post Posted June 14, 2003 "Chokey Chicken" I miss the innocence I had in 1993. Rocko's Modern Life got away with so much things. I think there was this one episode where they walked around with black bars covering their privates.

I think there was this one episode where they walked around with black bars covering their privates. I remember that. Heffer had a video camera, and was secretly taping Rocko, all the while saying "NAKEEEED" like 20 times. Then Heffer went and showed the tape at a cafe and Rocko was all embarassed. Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I wonder if all the episodes are just going to be gay jokes, or if they're going to have side-stories too. I will mark for the return of Mr. Horse
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I will mark for the return of Mr. Horse The ways they could play off that is very disturbing.

Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted June 14, 2003 It wasn't about gay man sex, it was about a basic american marriage, by two characters who are known as men. Thats what made it so great, it wasn't about up the ass jokes, it was about whats for dinner bitch jokes. WHY!?!?!!?

Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted June 14, 2003 I find it fucking offensive that so many schmucks are saying that masculinity and homosexuality cannot go hand-in-hand. Fucking CHRIST, what is this, the 50's?! Isn't there an interview around with the show's creator that he always wanted to make Ren and Stimpy a gay couple, yet couldn't because of Nick's standards & practices? Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted June 14, 2003 Shit, that's real disturbing....That was the show I always watched with my younger sister, now I have no idea how I comfortably can...
Guest RevEvil Report post Posted June 15, 2003 Anyone know if Billy West is doing Stimpy's voice for these episodes? I believe he and John K. had a falling out because the former allied himself with Nick after the screwjob and took credit for the Ren voice.
Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted June 15, 2003 I have no issues with them being gay ... it's not terribly surprising, and isn't much different than the implied love between Lenny and Carl on the Simpsons. If someone is so homophobic that this is going to change their views on a CARTOON, well then perhaps they shouldn't be watching.
