My favorite Billy Gunn gimmick was "Badass" Billy Gunn. I was big Outlaws mark prior to them joining DX and turning face. Them pushing that dumpster containing Cactus Jack and Terry Funk off of the RAW stage was fantastic.

Right after he lost the right to be called Mr Ass, and right before he was introduced as "The One". He came out on Raw and was announced as Billy G. I think it only lasted that one Raw,but it may have gone onto Smackdown, as I have some strange, creepy memory of Michael Cole screaming "Billy G!" *shudders*

He was motivated to show WWF he was better than Rockabilly. He did a pretty good HBK impersonation as a cocky heel, but couldn't lace Shawn's boots in the ring. His ring work wasn't even terrible until after KOTR 98. Then the roids really kicked in and he stopped trying and relied on the "Suck It" catchphrase (which he delivered poorlt IMO) to stay over. He has sucked ever since and gotten worse with every gimmick, although at least he's trying not to suck now, but it's not working.

Actually, I think that is when the "net" turned on Gunn. He was pushed to fast & way before he had the "ring rust" off of him. Hell, if you can't have a good match with Chris Benoit then something is wrong. Just for the Record, My favorite was "The Badass" Billy Gunn. The New Age Outlaws ruled before and during DX in 98/99.

He was pushed too fast and before the rust wore off, sounds like HHH, but the it's 2 years later and the rust still hasn't worn off. I agree completley about Benoit.

Why would Rock, already a 3-time WWF Champion, be jealous of Billy because of his ass of all things?? Anyone could tell that it was done to keep Rock out of the WWF Title contention for a month while they did Austin/Foley/HHH.

Secondly, I have still never forgiven Billy Gunn for nearly killing Chris Benoit with a botched press slam back a little more than a year ago. But if I had to pick one, it would be Bad Ass.
