Guest Kane Fan Report post Posted June 16, 2003 I haven't seen that many RVD matches, but I think the best match was Vs. Jericho at Unforgiven or against Eddie on JD and RAW. I've seen the GaC 2000 match with Sabu, but didn't think it was brilliant. This was my first taste of ECW and I was expecting a bit more, probably too much which is why it was a let down to me. Guest MARTYEWR Report post Posted June 16, 2003 The March 1998 match against Bam Bam Bigelow (where RVD won the ECW TV title) was very good, and the only time I can recall RVD pulling a miracle out of another worker.
Guest jm29195 Report post Posted June 16, 2003 When I saw that match I reckon it was Bigelow leading RVD through the match and carrying it, still one of RVD's best matches and imo Bigelow's best ECW match (possibly tied with his match against Snow at Matter of Respect 98)
Guest MARTYEWR Report post Posted June 16, 2003 It's debatable, I think, but I don't recall liking much of Bigelow's ECW stuff (never did see the Snow match though). And RVD was super-cool who put a lot of effort in his matches from 1997 to early 98. It was after his TV title win that he started going to shit.
Guest jm29195 Report post Posted June 16, 2003 I think that Bigelow's ECW ru nwas his best US run, I mean he had to come back from being buried and abused by the clique in wwf and he did really put some effort into restablishing himself as a top tier worker and probably the best super heavy weight worker in the US at the time (this was during the time that Vader looked like crap in WWF). Adam 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2003 Bigelows best run was definately in ECW, adn that list I am going on the matches that I have seen.
Guest BAR Report post Posted June 17, 2003 Glad to see Hardcore Heaven 2000 is at no 1. I think it's the most under-rated of the big three, and better than LD '99.
chaosrage 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2003 The GAC match with Sabu was just awful. I don't remember why, but their 30 minute draw on hardcore TV was a lot better. I think the matter of respect match was their best. You got to see RVD use actualy psychology (and this was in 96!), spending the whole match going after Sabu's neck. Using moves that I don't think he's done before or after, like the brainbuster off the top rope to get the win. It started off a pretty cool stoyline too. Oh and you have to see some RVD/Sabu against Eliminators matches if you didn't see them yet.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted June 17, 2003 3. vs. Sabu, stretcher match That match was horrible. No way should it be in the top 10. His match against Bigelow was way better than the stretcher match.
