Guest Eagan469 Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 just realized - the reason they are showing Sting/Flair from the last Nitro is because it's one of Sting's only good matches under the "Crow" gimmick, and that's most likely what he'll be returning as
Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 No, Trish-HHH was on the last SD! of July 2000. I remember because it was the 1st episode of SD! I ever saw (my cable didn't have UPN).
Guest ftwdevils2469 Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 Heh no WCW logo at all just TNN.
Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 I'm surprised they're playing this match, especially with the anti-WWE comments made by Scott Hudson and the TNT references.
Guest JMA Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 Man, this brings back some old feelings. It really sucks how the WWF/E devoured WCW.
Guest Eagan469 Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 I'm surprised they're playing this match, especially with the anti-WWE comments made by Scott Hudson and the TNT references. Yeah, what the hell was with Hudson saying "Flair proudly displaying the colors of TNT on his chest" Guess he cared more about staying with Turner than the fate of WCW
Guest ftwdevils2469 Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 Wow. I really do miss WCW. yeah I'm even missing Tony.
Guest bravesfan Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 That Trish/HHH thing was a Raw. The Trish/HHH vs. Rock/Lita match, with the "69" ending, was a RAW show (07.31.2000). HHH training Trish for their match against Lita and Y2J, was on a Smackdown (07.27.2000). HHH soon left the show moments after, with Road Dogg in hot pursuit. Trish would find a suitable replacement in Chris Benoit, but fell in defeat.
Guest Steviekick Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 I'm surprised they're playing this match, especially with the anti-WWE comments made by Scott Hudson and the TNT references. Yeah, what the hell was with Hudson saying "Flair proudly displaying the colors of TNT on his chest" Guess he cared more about staying with Turner than the fate of WCW that's cause TNT was propably who signed his check
Guest Steviekick Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 yeah I'm even missing Tony. Same here. I'll take Tony's stupidity and overshilling over JR any day.

Guest ftwdevils2469 Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 Stacey should be forced to have one of those outfits on everytime she is on TV
Guest JMA Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 Hudson was actually a pretty decent announcer. Sigh. I miss the old days, before all the literal ass-kissing and biased political debates.
Guest Steviekick Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 Leave it to WWE to depress all of its fans by reminding us of a time when there was a viable alternative to their programming. Stupid Time Warner AOL wanting to cut costs.

Yeah, thats what I thought too......
Guest Eagan469 Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 he said TNT, otherwise I wouldn't have pointed it out
Guest MillenniumMan831 Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 yeah I'm even missing Tony. Same here. I'll take Tony's stupidity and overshilling over JR any day. Me too . . . I mark out when he starts naming dates/events of the past of whomever is wrestling.
Mecha Mummy Posted June 15, 2003 Report Posted June 15, 2003 Since I watched Velocidental at my dad's where I have little to no 'net access, some random notes... 1. How weird is it that Spanky vs. Collyer was the second-best match I saw this week? (Best was Jarrett vs. Raven vs. Styles on TNA) 2. The comedy part of the Smackdown retrospective was lame. No E&C promos or even Five-Second Poses, but they put in Booker T throwing up? Ridiculous. 3. Christian RULES.
