Question about T2 DVD....

I read that on the T2 DVD (I believe it was the Ultimate edition) there's an alternate ending. Could someone please explain what that's about?

The future is shown...and there was no Judgment Day. Sarah Conner (in a terrible make up job), now in old age is sitting on a park bench (the same park she sees in her apocalyptic dreams)talking into a tape recorder about the events of T2. John Conner is playing with his daughter on a swing and she comes over to Sarah to tie her shoe...she watches on as humanity lives.

Not a bad ending, but closes the door on possible sequels featuring Sarah & John Connor's characters.

Thanks, Dames. Good ending, but I can see why they took it out. It doesn't fit in with the rest of the movie.

Actually, it fits in perfectly. Terminator was about preparing for the worst, and Terminator 2 was about hope for mankind. Sarah's small monologue at the very end of T2, when all that is shown is the road at night and the yellow lines on the road, explains it.

They took it out because Cameron wanted to make the point that future is unknown. Possibly for future marketing purposes (had Titanic not come along I would almost certainly expect him to be doing T3).

Fucking Titanic ruined everything...

-CGI that was obvious, and thus helped to usher in the overusage of CGI when models would appear better.

-James Cameron got obsessed with the Titanic, and hasn't released a single enjoyable film since.

-DiCaprio's career basically went under the carpet after the movie.

Yeah, fuck Titanic.

In fact, he hasn't released anything unrelated to Titanic since he started working on that crapfest of a movie.
