While that was obviously too high for Washington, you have to remember that THE expert Kiper had Steinbach, Washington, and Weathersby in the 1st round. Obviously Weathersby was an outside circumstance but it really shows that we all are "experts" to a certain degree. :P

actually I think it shows that NFL teams are run by asshats. I would have accepted any of those guys going first round.

Meanwhile we got Rex Grossman.

*sobs*

anyway, the point is, I bet near the end of the 1st round a European guy is taken, and the fans, analysts, and all the other teams go "eh....who?"

I'm going to be in Dallas for a few days so someone can take the Magic for me.

So who’s going to make the 1st significant trade during draft day? The Raptors, Knicks, Grizzlies, Heat?

What team would be willing to take a veterans contract? That's what these teams trying to make a trade want.

Someone will take Hakeem's contract, and maybe Antonio Davis, in exchange for the 4th pick.

What's funny is that managment types in Toronto and New York think trading their pick for some old guy with a huge contract will somehow prevent them from getting fired at the end of the year.

Although the salary moves worked for the Spurs, you're right, it is hilarious that teams will take the contracts for 2 years and basically throw up the white flag for playoff contention so "we can save money for 2006!"

For some reason, I desperately want David Stern to walk out tonight and say "With the first pick in the 2003 NBA draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers pick Manute Bol from God knows where."

Manute then stands up among the averaged size crowd and procedes to dance.

Yes, I just really want Manute back in the league.

Woodbridge.

In all seriousness Bol has spoken in front of congress many times about the treatment the Christians in Sudan suffer at the hand of the muslems.Bin Laden at one point lived in Sudan. All the money he makes from any appearance goes to a relief found.

This draft has to come to New York every year. Lebron got an "O-VER-RA-TED" chant.

"Nice city" - Darko Milicec, on Detroit. I give it an 80 on the unintentional comedy scale...

hey leave detroit alone. While the actual city may be the pits, the metropolitan area of detroit is a great place to live

I know - I worked in Southfield for 3 years. And Greektown is actually pretty nice. Still, I'd stay away from most of Detroit proper.

Raptors took Bosh - a trade is in the works perhaps?

Serious shocker there.

i like hinrich but i just dont understand the love for him. He seems to be one of those players who is more suited to college but he is a tremendous athlete and he could possibly improve his ballhandling and midrange game. If he does that he could be a solid 10 year NBA vet
