Bored 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2003 A WWE Title rematch between Brock Lesnar and the Big Show will headline the Smackdown taping tonight. The match is expected to set up a big six man tag with Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, & Mr. America vs. Team Angle & The Big Show for next weeks Smackdown in MSG. Also announced for Smackdown in MSG is Eddy Guerrero & Tajiri defending the WWE Tag Team Titles against Roddy Piper & Sean O'Haire. Guest acnx Report post Posted June 17, 2003 Piper and O'haire? What the hell does Hogan have to do with Lesnar/Show or Angle/Team Angle?

Guest The Hamburglar Report post Posted June 17, 2003 Lesnar and Angle on the same team is awesome enough, but adding Hogan to the mix? That should rule the earth, can you imagine how over that team will be? And Big Show's suckitude gets turned right down when he's in matches with Angle or Lesnar and when he's in tag matches, so he ceases to become a negative factor. Think of the three faces on the face team, the top three on Smackdown...and think of the top three faces on Raw. Does Raw even have a top three faces? Let alone any faces who can command the reaction Lesnar, Hogan and Angle can. But the thing about this tag match - who will be the hot tag man? You'd think that'll be a Hogan thing, but Angle's only just returned and might not be quite up to playing heel-in-peril just yet, and he could do with being portayed as really strong anyway. Course, they could just make it a long tag match with multiple hot tags, that'd be cool.

Guest Brian Report post Posted June 17, 2003 If they're smart, they make Lesnar the hot tag, let Angle play face in peril but win the match strong.

Face 1 starts off against Heel 1, works over Heel 1, makes mistake. Heel 2 comes in and dominates Face 1 for a bit, tagging periodically with Heel 1. Big bump that knocks both legal men to the mat (double clothesline, superplex, whatever). Face 1 leaps at the last possible second to finally make the tag to Face 2 who comes in like a house of fire (or cleans house, or whatever). Wash, rinse, repeat. Having said that, I do agree that this will probably be a pretty cool ME.

Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 17, 2003 If they can...Get Heyman back and he'll get SHITLOAD of heat... Have Cena walk out in his NOMAR jerzee and Toronto will have a rival...

TheOriginalOrangeGoblin 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2003 Hogan in MSG is the equivalent of Bret in Calgary or Austin in Texas. Add Brock who was MADE by the NY crowd and Angle who gets pops anywehre he goes and the heat will be off the charts. Show & TA will get the most heel heat of their careers thanks to Hogan & Brock. If they were smart they advertise that ME maybe it'd help them sell-out.

I was really just thinking of it in the sense that at some point there will be some kind of eagerly awaited face tag, and that when that tag is made there will be an almighty pop. You're right, though, it never hurts to mix it up a bit. Even at a fairly basic level, for example I always like it when a hot tag is teased but then cut off by the dastardly heels. Just raises the tension a bit.

It's a SUREFIRE way to pop the crowd and to make sure a match has strong crowd heat.
