This is for all my people on the East coast, especially people in the midwest, especially the DC/Metro area, which I can personally speak for ...

Anyone else miss the sun!?

Look I'm sorry if you live in sunny sunny Florida, but you can go suck an egg. This post is for us in MD who've had ~4 sunny days in as many weeks. I just I just I just can't cope anymore! I had this summer plan, it involved getting a tan and sun bleached hair. let me tell you, it's been IMPOSSIBLE!

Anyone feel me?

*EDIT* I know we've been having a distinct lack of water for years and droughts (sp) and this is good for the grass but it's killing me! *EDIT*

I like the rain, so I've been pretty happy these last few days. :) The girl says it's supposed to be sunnier this weekend, though, so maybe you can work on your tan then. That's when she's planning to work on hers.

DAYS?!?!

If you live in Arlington, which isn't far enough away from Springfield to give much of a difference in weather, it's been raining for the last few MONTHS! Geez.

EDIT: Ne-ver mind. Funny how they change the predictions four times a day. It's supposed to stop by Friday, now.

But seriously, I was supposed to take this certain someone to a picnic on the mall of the College Park campus. It was supposed to be sunny. it was not.

Alright, so we stayed in. Ok so things turned out for the best. But, if picnics weren't so fucking overrated, I would have missed out on something good!

You're probably right. <g> I just haven't been going out that much, and when I do I rarely pay much attention to the weather unless it makes me uncomfortable. I can smoke in the rain, so if it isn't an absolute downpour (though granted it has been once or twice - we were walking to a Korean restaurant one night and got absolutely drenched by a sudden burst of rain that lasted all of 15 minutes before stopping entirely) I don't mind.

As for the weather.com thingy, it's supposed to stop by Friday I think. Just partly cloudy for the next six days after that.

Yup, you're right. I checked it earlier, and it's been changed since. Call me Fox News :D

Here's an example of how much it has rained in the past few months...

I play(ed) recreational softball with my stepfather. Our season started two months ago. We've completed two games. 21 times in a row, our games -- make-up or scheduled -- have been cancelled. Since our last game, I've had surgery on my elbow and have already begun rehabilitation. By the time we play the next game, I'll probably be able to play again.

And yes, I know, low blow :P

FLA has been getting our classic 90+ with sunshine. Of course, it rains everyday at 5:57, but it's all good.

Seriously, 5:57 it starts raining.

As soon as it starts getting really hot here, it's going to be a muggy hell, because we've gotten quite a bit of rain so far, too.

That's amazing. I HATE the rain.

It seems that whatever I do, there's always one raindrop that will land square on the most sensitive part of the back of my neck and cause me to spaz out for a sec.

Well her in Georgia, we are getting rain everyfucking day BUT we still are getting the humidity of a 90+ summers day. We get teh best of both worlds!! You get to sweat and get rained on at the same time.

And we aren't getting that nice little sprinkliing rain. We are get Go build a ARK, I let my wrath down upon thee, raindrops are so big they hurt, flood a parking lot in 3 minutes Rain.

I used to feel that way. Now I just think, "Hey, it could be worse...could be snow."

Indeed.

I have a moat around my yard from about 5 minutes of rain yesterday.

Even though I know we haven't been getting quite as much rain as you East Coasters, it's been raining...well, storming, really...every single night for like the past three weeks here in Texas. And overcast all day, until around 6 pm. Then around 7 or 8 storm clouds start rolling in again. And I'm not talking about some little piddling rain storm with some heavy rain and a little bit of wind. I'm talking torrential downpours, massive lightning, thunder that shakes the house, trees down in the streets, tornadoes, hail, etc.

And Eric, I haven't been able to work on my tan, either, because of this crap. And the few times it has been sunny during the day, I've been at work. Grr. My pasty ass legs are in dire need of a tan, and ASAP.

I am in Stamford, and we have had what...6 days of Sun since Mid April. We had so much rain that a drizzle can trigger a flood in some people's houses.

I WANT the rain. I love it. These past few weeks has been fabulous. I'd love to live in London-like conditions, where it just rains every single week.

well, call me wierd, but I'd rather have 70 and clouds/rain then 110 and blazing sun.

Good point. I know I'm certainly not looking forward to those 110 degree days that are sure to start next month and last through September. Thunderstorms are certainly much more entertaining than the local weatherman showing on the 6 o'clock news that it is indeed hot enough outside to fry an egg on the sidewalk.

I like the rain. I like taking walks in nice, slow rains. Always have. That said, I'm not a fan of downpours at all... I know it's only water, but I don't like the feeling that my clothes are glued to my skin. We've had quite a lot of rain the past few months, and I've gotten sick of it. Like anything else, rain is fine in moderation.

I'm not that far from the DC area (Baltimore suburbs), so I sympathize with all the haterizing on the rain. The thing is, though, all the reservoirs are back to normal levels with the exception of Prettyboy. So I guess it was necessary, just really annoying.

Rainy days are the best. I'm not too much a fan of the blistering sun. It's been nice the past couple weeks here in MA, today's the first TRULY rainy day in about a week and a half. Meh.

Generally rain doesn't bother me at all. I was walking around in a downpour this morning with a t-shirt on.

ALTHOUGH, next Wednesday I'm having a little over 30 people for what was supposed to be a BBQ. I swear if it rains and I need to fit all those people in my house there will be fucking hell to pay.
