I finally finished watching Titus earlier today and it was quite...interesting. The Shakespearean and theatrical script was confusing at first, but once I caught on and could actually follow what they were saying, it was cool. The Queen and her sons [who were quite yummy, btw] all seemed... a bit too close to each other. Meh, ah well.

What happens to Lavinia is creepy as fuck and quite literally gave me the chills.

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

The chick was not only raped, had her tongue and hands cut off, but the sick pretty boys put sticks where her hands were. *shudder*

Anyway, has anyone else seen this odd, gorey, creepy movie?

Yep. It was a hack job with snazzy art direction...which is probably exactly as it should have been, considering the source material. Titus Andronicus is probably Shakespeare's brashest, most gruesome, broadly painted play, so I guess that was a good interpretation. Not exactly my cup of tea--I'll stick to Julie Taymor doing lavish overblown theater instead of movies.
