Moment by moment, the camera zooms closer and closer to the forest. "Because I've earned it. I deserve it." Cut suddenly to a slow motion clip of Longdogger Pete walking down an entrance ramp toward a ring. "Because I'm not ready to step out of the spotlight just yet. I haven't given up my dream." Cut back to the forest. The camera continues to converge on this scene, and as it approaches we see that is focusing on one particular large tree, with branches snarled and twisted, and a wide, ancient trunk. "No medical facility can hold me long. No injury can keep me away forever." Cut again to Longdogger Pete, now climbing onto the ring apron and through the ropes. His bad leg hampers him a little as he steps in, but he ignores the pain, determined to fight through it. "And of course, there's one other motive, and that's good old fashioned revenge. Revenge against the Magnificent Seven." The camera grows closer to the ancient oak, which suddenly begins glowing with an eerie white light emanating from its trunk. "My partner, Frost, has similar motivations. He, too, is back, and ready for a fight. Together we will take on the enemy, and one more time, truly become champions in this bid'ness." The next image is of Longdogger Pete with Frost, inside a ring, shaking hands, past differences aside as they unite for their common goal. "Why do I fight? Because it is my life." A hidden door opens in the trunk of the tree. Light floods the screen, leaving only whiteness beyond - followed by a single image. The image of a ticking clock. The ticking grows louder and louder as the screen fades into total whiteness. "My life." "My dream." "My time." "13th Hour." He wrote one for the SJL Malice in Wonderland Mall Brawl, and I got hooked on it. Then I wrote one for my From the Fire match. And now we're here.
