The New US title belt and the tournament

Ok from what I saw of the US title belt Steph had it was really ugly. I mean it either looked more like a toy belt you would buy from Wal-Mart or some indyish kinda of belt. I wish they would have use the old one from before it was retired.

 

And as for the tournament I think they should have had a one night tournament for the US title at the first SD PPV. The finals could have Rhyno and Benoit with Rhyno winning and then having Benoit snapping and attacking from after the match and turn heel.

 

Instead we get Rhyno/Benoit with no warming and no backets to book. I bet the writing team doesn't even know who's in it yet.

Cena I could tolerate, but I could seriously see them putting it on Gunn or Jones. They'd have Jones going around making a mockery of it or something being Australian and holding the U.S. Title. Sounds crap doesn't it......

I don't see the point in having a heel winning a tournament. Then you just get a Christian Situation. A tournament should be used to showcase the wrestlers' journey to become champion.

Well considering its rumored that Hardy and Cena will be fighting over the belt at some point I'd say its a pretty safe call they'll be in the tournament. Rockabilly and A-Train will of course be in it I'm sure which leaves two spots. Probably toss in Rikishi and, oh I don't know, maybe throw in an FBI member like Palumbo.

I don't think DeMott will be let anywhere near the title tournament; he's been given a serious de-push and has been relegated to Velocity for the last two months, not to mention that goofy tweener gimmick he's playing right now.

No apparant reason to us but, the WWE reason is the old design was made by WCW so that means it sucked and the WWE had to do their "better" design of the belt.

 

You know I'm shocked that the big gold belt has more or less stayed the same since they brought it back.
