Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted June 20, 2003 Was anyone impressed by Steph's big outburst last night? I wanted to like it but couldn't get into it cause I'm just so sick of her. Although I kinda like the two fighting over Zack, but I could give two shits about Sable and all her MILFness. And when Steph hinted that she did "things" for Vince's associates I got this sick image of her working over Vern Gange for Hogan's deal...except she would have been like 5. Anyway, is this going anywhere other then the angle with Zack?
Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted June 20, 2003 And when Steph hinted that she did "things" for Vince's associates. Why do you think nobody testified against McMahon in the steroid trial, except "Gay" Hogan and "Homo" Nailz?!

The Dames 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2003 You know what...screw it. I LIKED IT. I doubt it'll go anywhere but bad skits, but for once, I actually felt as if Stephanie came across as a credible actress as a sympathetic character. Flame on. Dames
Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted June 20, 2003 Sorry Dames, but where's it leading? Vince vs. Zach? Vince vs. Hogan? Sable vs. Steph? Vince vs. Steph? Sable vs. Zach? Nothing remotely appealing there. Don't fire me. Nik
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted June 20, 2003 Main event for Summerslam Vince & Sable vs Steph & Mr. America w/Zack Gowen in their corner (HEEL TURN!)
The Dames 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2003 Hey...didn't I say that it's leading nowhere? All I'm saying is that it was Steph's best acting job to date and it had a believability to it that made the segment almost creepy. Dames
Guest Kid Kablam Report post Posted June 20, 2003 Ya know, I was watching without a trace and the same sort of sexual abuse plot came up. It's a plot line that has been driven into the dirt, and te fact that it took Vince McMahon this long to pick up on it actaully suprises me, but that doesn't change the fact that Vince has picked up on a hackneyed story twist that hack writers use as a replacement forsmart writing. It's like "Hmmmm, this episode is missing something..... SEXUAL ABUSE! Bam baby BAM! We gotta winner now. This is the the type of hard hitting drama I should be writing!" Now, speaking less from a writer's standpoint, and more from a personal standpoint, it makes me sick that WWE encroaches on serious plotlines such as racism, sexual addiction, and sexual abuse, and gives them the ol attitude treatment. Basically WWE writers aren't equipped to handle such a heavy issues, and it just continues to prove that Vince is ashamed to be a wrestling promoter. His latest foray into the "edgy" proves once again that Vince McMahon A) never wanted to inherite a Wrestling company, and instead wishes he were Aaron SPelling's kid and B) completely misses the point of "edgy" entertainment. quentin Tarrantino is edgy. Martin Scorsese was edgy (not as much anymore but he at least still makes good movies). The difference lies in the fact that the likes of Martin Scorsese is that the edginess comes from ideas and intelligence instead of repulsiveness. Scorsese also respects the intelligence of his audience and expects his audience to take movies such as "Taxi driver" and "Mean Streets" seriously. Vince McMahon on the other hand sees his audience as a group of hyperactive Lemmings, who must depend on the great Vince McMahon for entertainment. I despise Vince's half assed edginess where he believes that slapping a shocking image on the screen constitutes edginess.
Guest OnlyMe Report post Posted June 20, 2003 Hey...didn't I say that it's leading nowhere? Yeah alright. But that's the overriding factor for me. I want to see stories that go into matches, not stories that go into stories.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted June 20, 2003 Like someone said about the Big Show/Brock ring bump. I think they're trying to nail you with the "tune in next week to see what happens" deal. Which probably isn't a bad idea, although I'm not liking the idea of the Vince making Steph do dirty things for business. Cause like he always does Vince is do for a face turn one day soon, then another heel turn, then a face turn, and the cycle is endless.
Guest The Notorious CRD Report post Posted June 20, 2003 I'm not too thrilled about the angle myself, mostly because I'm sick of McMahons being on my television.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted June 20, 2003 All I'm saying is that it was Steph's best acting job to date and it had a believability to it that made the segment almost creepy. Dames I'm not one for the Feudin' McMahon Saga, Chapter 845, myself. The only McMahon I really like is Shane, and that's because he bumps his ass off and tries to put younger (albeit not necessarily the right) talent over. Plus, we go from "Daddy's Little Girl" to this "My Father The Pimp" storyline? Every time Vince and Steph have a major storyline, it's something to do with the sexual activities of at least one of them. Considering Vince also admitted to checking out his daughters tits when they popped out of her top once, I think they're due for some counseling.
Guest NoSelfWorth Report post Posted June 20, 2003 If they show a tape of the things Stephanie did to/for Vince's associates, then MAYBE I'll give a shit.

Guest nikowwf Report post Posted June 20, 2003 The only thing i liked about those skits is it seems there is a quota of stupid skits that must be done every show and it keeps my favorite guys from being in them. niko
Guest FatKane Report post Posted June 20, 2003 I too was impressed by Steph's outburst. I didn't think about the long term impact it would have on the product, I was just enjoying the moment. It was good acting for a wrestling show.
Guest The Old Me Report post Posted June 20, 2003 While I agree that this is leading to more TV I don't want to watch, it was Steph's best acting job ever, IMO.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted June 20, 2003 Stephs acting ability and range was only surpassed by Zach Gowans last night. "Oh.... Sable... I-want-it-bad...Oh... " Ok, first she was Daddys Lil Girl. Then she turned on Daddy. Then she and Daddy made up. Then she turned on Daddy again. Then she and Daddy made up. Then she turned on Daddy again. Why bother? We know she and Vince will make up in 6 months.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 21, 2003 If WWE had talented writers (I.E Heyman) writing this angle...I would not be annoyed because Heyman along with Dreamer wrote the greatest storyline in history... I like the idea of Stephanie trying to hire Zach as repent for his sins but WWE lacks the intelligence it takes to pull of this angle... Look at the Dreamer/Raven angle...They had Truama, Sex, Lust, Pain, Agony, Pregancy, fear, Redemption, Repent, Religon and molded it into one beautiful story...
