Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 23, 2003 are most black people born with an inferiority complex too, since there's so many of THEM who are concerned with the way their group is represented on tv and in the movies? Must be, since whenever I watch TV they're almost always represented as being the only funny and cool people on the face of the earth, and a member of any other race standing next to them is either weird/cracked-out, droll, less of a (insert gender here), or (misc.) white trash. And anyone who's seen the movie Empire can say that the same can be said for hispanics as well. As a matter of fact, the gross misinterpretation of reality in that movie pissed me off enough I turned it off halfway into it. The jack-assery (DING DING DING) of that amazes me. It's what I call reverse racism whereas now minority groups have fought so hard to be represented as equals that they've actually crossed the line and pushed it to make it seem like they should be superior or be shown as "cooler" than others. It's absolutely ridiculous.
Guest Ripper Report post Posted June 23, 2003 So...shooting the little kid, and cheating on your pregnant wife is "Cool"...that is what was in Empire. And lets not forget, there isn't a overflow of black/hispanic writers out there. Most of the time it is a white person writing what they think minorities would act like. Thats why most blacks and hispanics can see a minority in a movie using "slag" and even we don't know what the fuck they are saying.
