Guest UndertakerHart Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 To me, Dean Malenko should have been pushed more in WCW and WWF. I'm being serious here. He had a great feud with Jericho. He could of had a gimmick where he injured people. He would have been a great World champ. But now he is retire. Stupid HHH retiring Malenko. The Texas Cloverleaf was a great hold. The only way I see Dean Malenko is by watching the Rey Mysterio DVD. Those weren't his greatest matches. Rey Mysterio should be a World champ but instead he is demoted to being a Cruiserweight champ who faces Kanyon. What is up with that? Sum it up: Dean Malenko--- good wrestler, under utilized, held down by WCW, WWF, needs to be in next generation of wrestling games Watches Slamboree '98 and sees Malenko cry. I cry too. Rey - good wrestler, under utilized, held down by WCW, WWF, needs to be in next generation of wrestling games Kanyon --good wrestler, under utilized, held down by WCW, WWF, needs to be in next generation of wrestling games
TheFranchise Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 Malenko as world champion? Malenko vs Big Show Malenko vs Brock Malenko vs HHH Get real.
Guest UndertakerHart Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 Malenko could have ran circles around them. He knows a thousand holds. Most WWE wrestlers know 3 moves at most. 1000 moves > 3 moves including punch and elbow
TheFranchise Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 Yes, as far as ability goes, Benoit, Storm et al would be headling Mania's for the next decade, but as for WWE... Malenko just wouldn't fit.
Adam Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 Seriously, who would buy Malenkoy as World Champ? Could he actually use the cloverleaf on a guy that big? He is a great wrestler, but not World Champ. IC or US maybe, but not World.
Guest UndertakerHart Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 He would have worked better in WWE had they let him feud with Jericho. I would buy a DVD if it have the Jericho-Malenko feud on it for more than 4 minutes.
TheFranchise Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 Jericho and Angle are maybe the only main eventers he could fued with.
Guest UndertakerHart Posted June 21, 2003 Report Posted June 21, 2003 I had another thought: Angle should have went over Lesnar at Wrestlemania. Angle could have went on Smackdown and dropped the belt in a time honored tradition. Lesnar shouldn't have won after the botched SSP. My world champ shouldn't miss high risk moves or damage the ring when doing a super-plex. Angle was held down. Malenko should have wrestled Jericho for 60 mins for the IC title. Then Malenko would have been way over with the crowd. Instead he was wrestling Lita. If Lita was here today, there would be more people going to Dr. Jho.
Guest UndertakerHart Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 I have another one. Earl Hebner held down/screwed Bret. I'm watching Hogan-Warrior. Why can't anyone get a crowd excited like that again?
Lil' Bitch Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 ^Because face vs. face or heel vs. heel is very rare nowadays. And Brock Lesnar never ceases to amaze me. Not only did almost end his career (which is sad because he has done the SSP before perfectly), but he carried on with the match and was still able to finish it. Just seeing him get up and being able to move, it wasn't anything serious as everyone feared and I wasn't so worried.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 Jericho and Angle are maybe the only main eventers he could fued with. They're borderline Main event themselves.
Bored Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 Jericho and Angle are maybe the only main eventers he could fued with. They're borderline Main event themselves. Yes because they've only been in the main event of WRESTLEMANIA. Yup borderline main eventers.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 Jericho and Angle are maybe the only main eventers he could fued with. They're borderline Main event themselves. Yes because they've only been in the main event of WRESTLEMANIA. Yup borderline main eventers. And since then, Jericho has done...? Lawrence Taylor was the ME of WM Angle may, may have been salvaged.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 <<<And since then, Jericho has done...?>>> Giving **** matches. <<<Lawrence Taylor was the ME of WM>>> I'll pretend that never happened. Everyone knows Diesel / Shawn Michaels was the TRUE ME. <<<Angle may, may have been salvaged. >>> I was glad he didn't miss WM.
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 <<<And since then, Jericho has done...?>>> Giving **** matches. That's never determined who's at the top of the card so it doesn't matter as far as his position goes. He hasn't main event much since WM X8... it's been over a year.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 He wasn't even included on Backlash. And Bradshaw was.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 <<<That's never determined who's at the top of the card so it doesn't matter as far as his position goes.>>> Doesn't mean he didn't lose his touch. ------------------------------------------------- So he didn't have anything going at Backlash last year (which was made up by having a HIAC match at the following PPV). At least he had a match at this year's Backlash.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 So he didn't have anything going at Backlash last year He was the former champion! (which was made up by having a HIAC match at the following PPV). It was?? At least he had a match at this year's Backlash. I should hope. Sean O'Haire had a match
Lil' Bitch Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 < ------- Jericholic / Jackass / Assclown for life!
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 Jericho isn't a Main Eventer. Angle is border-line, they could have solidified it with a, you know, good return, but he continues to be iffy.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 Chris Jericho, the first and BEST Undisputed Champion the WWE ever had. Despite it being the HHH show, still...
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 How was Jericho the best? I mean, he was Stephs lotion-boy and HHH's dog walker. Not to mention he almost got beaten by Maven and curtain jerked a smackdown vs. Tazz.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 He had the longest reign, Undertaker was close.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 You've got to be kidding me.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 Not at all. Jericho isn't a Main Eventer. He's main evented RAW and Smackdown plenty of times. PPVs would be included more often if Vince wasn't a dumbass about holding him back along with all the other good talents!
Guest Big McLargeHuge Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 Jericho was the best. Which isn't saying much at all. HHH defended the title twice. Once against Steph. I don't remember Hogan doing anything. Taker was okay but the KOR match with HHH and having to retape an ending to a Smackdown match are the only memorable things that happened during his reign. Rock was there purely to put Brock over. And Brock did nothing.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted June 22, 2003 Report Posted June 22, 2003 Jericho was the best undisputed champ by default. If he's a main event guy, why has he been in the main event match only twice in a whole year - WM 18 and the Elimination Chamber - in which he was the Kliq's job-boy each time?
