Velocity preview for June 21, 2003

Catch Velocity every Saturday night starting at 10/9 CT on TNN!

The Basham Brothers have only been on the SmackDown! brand for a few weeks, but they've already proven that they're a force to be reckoned with. This week on Velocity, they'll attempt to provide another piece of evidence when they face two of the world's biggest MFers, Crash and Shannon Moore. No doubt, Shaniqua will be at ringside with Doug and Danny Basham.

Speaking of Mattitude, Matt Hardy will be in singles competition this week!

In a rematch from two weeks ago on SmackDown!, John Cena will battle Funaki.

And we'll look back at the "Unfinished Business" rematch between the Big Show and Brock Lesnar from Thursday's SmackDown!

Don't miss Velocity this Saturday night on TNN!

Confidential preview for June 21, 2003

This week on Confidential (Saturday night at 11/10 CT on The New TNN), we'll examine the history of WWE at Madison Square Garden. Superstars past and present will speak about the significance of the building, and reveal some of their favorite memories. Plus, we'll look back at the very first WrestleMania, which took place at the "World's Most Famous Arena" -- also the home of WrestleMania XX.

Why is Brock Lesnar's F-5 so devastating? We'll dissect the maneuver this week on the show.

Ric Flair recently visited Australia on a goodwill tour for WWE. Check out the exclusive footage this Saturday night on Confidential.

In addition, we'll go "Outside the Ropes" with Kurt Angle, and Nunzio picks his favorite classic match: Bob Backlund vs. Iron Sheik, Dec. 26, 1983.

You're not going to want to miss Confidential this Saturday night at 11/10 CT on TNN!

Damn, I've never seen that one.

I might have to actually watch Confidential for once.

I hate it when they clip the from the vault matches, was last week's clipped?

Yeah, they clipped Sting/Flair.

Backlund/Sheik went 13 minutes so that'll be clipped too I'm sure. IMO, it was kind of a dull match as it didn't quite seem that the crowd was expecting anything Earht shattering to happen until Towel Toss 83 occured. Still seems surreal to hear The Fink announce, "The winner of this bout . . . and the NEW World Wrestling Federation Heavyweight Champion, The Iron SHEIK!"

Because Marc Mero used it, duh.

Uh-oh, I think they're trying to refresh the audience to the fact that "throwing in the towel" is a valid form of submission.

If they wanted a "towel tosser" they could've used the I Quit Match b/w Bret and Backlund from Survivor Series 1994

The TKO is slightly different from the F-5.

I remember the night Marc Mero re-debuted as "Marvelous", he used the TKO on a taped edition of RAW.

Well, WCW got wind of that and had DDP do basically the same thing into a diamond cutter on the first hour of Nitro :P

The TKO goes into a diamond cutter type of motion. The F5 swings into a DDT.

^ The F-5 is basically a spinning facebuster and with a guy like Brock doing it, its very believable for it to be such a "devastating move".

I always like the Diamond Cutter better. I guess because DDP had more ways of performing it, see WCW/NWO Revenge for further reference.

Wasn't Matt supposed to get a push after the Rey feud ended?

Well, I guess wrestling Paul London is a step up.

I'm hoping (and I'm pretty sure) Matt will be in The US Title Tournament. Weird how Matt's a heel yet he had the crowd going for him, but those 2 Twists of Fates were nice. :D

Yeah from a Main Event match on Smackdown to a match with a guy that even on TNA is a mid carder at best.
