The screen is black, and nothing can be heard except for the pouring rain in the background, creating a dark, mysterious backdrop.

A voice speaks out of the darkness as a shot of Mak Francis fades in from the background.

Or slip through your fingers like sand?

 

We can see more clips, some briefly of a hooded man standing in the pouring rain, intermixed with shots of Mak Francis' debut in the SWF, his first US Title victory, and then his second such win. Each time the shot cuts out from the hooded man to the clips of Mak and then back, the camera seems to zoom in closer on the man. His hoodie becomes more and more visible, reading "Property of Iowa State Wrestling", meaning it can only be one man: Michael Craven. His voice once again speaks over the picture of the hooded man in the rain.

 

You preach to the masses of rabid fans

On how it's gonna be.

But in the end, it's all a lie.

Your dreams? They shatter like your knee.

 

More shots, now of Craven with the Figure Four locked in around the ringpost during their rematch. The shot goes to a close-up of Mak's face as the hold is released, The Franchise in massive amounts of pain, clearly visible by his clenched eyes and open mouth. The voice of The King of Nightmares once more narrates the piece.

 

I've beaten you already twice before

And you still wanna go?

 

More shots, these of Craven defeating Francis both times before, including his US Title victory and his subsequent demantling of Mak Francis' left knee in the rematch.

 

Just don't get any stupid thoughts

'Cuz I'm going 3-0.

 

The shot goes back to some of the clips of Francis rehabilitating his knee, getting back in the ring, and working harder and harder each day, hoping to get back so he can get revenge on the man who beat him twice ina row and put him on the shelf.

 

As the days begin to count themselves down

You seem like you're ready to fight.

 

The next clip is from Smarkdown, Mak and Mike's in-ring confrontation, with Mak knocking Craven down, but The King of Nightmares coming back with that crutch shot to the knee.

 

If people think you're Superman, though,

Then I'm pure kryptionite.

 

The next shot is of Mak during his better days, celebrating in the ring and with friends, before he faced off against Craven.

 

So live up the Franchise life,

party all night with your friends...

 

The camera pans up to the King of Nightmare's hunched over, hooded face. He slowly lifts his head up, revealing it to the camera as the lights cast eerie shadows on his face. He smiles, opening his mouth to finish:

 

 

"But when the clock strikes 13 on Sunday, Mak...

 

 

 

 

 

...your career comes to an end."

 

The camera fades out on Craven's face, everything going to black before more words fade onto the screen.
