PROMO: An American Psycho in Bloodshed

“…American Psycho…”

 

***Do you feel the warmth, growing deep inside…do you feel your senses, going for that ride...your vision will be blurred…your emotions will be stirred…on that drug that no one can resist….you’ll be walking in your sleep…as your dreams begin to creep…searching for that one moment of bliss***

 

**The scene fades in slowly, with almost nothing in frame…a hallway nearly shrouded in darkness. A low murmuring can be heard, most likely from an air conditioner or cheap vacuum cleaner. The camera moves forward, seemingly searching the hallway for something. About halfway down it turns, it’s lens resting on a set of numbers….616. The camera drops for a moment and a slight knocking is heard, and when the camera returns to position it is almost immediately met by a man throwing the door open**

 

Man: WHAT’S UP!?

 

**The cameraman shrugs his shoulders, lifting the camera up slightly as the man begins to almost drag him into the apartment. The camera pans around a bit, showing off a beat up couch and TV, a slightly maintained kitchen, a smaller hallway leading back past a bathroom, and cleaning supplies…….everywhere. The man seems dressed well enough, wearing a black t-shirt and jean shorts, with his hair rolling over his face. As he sits on the couch he throws his hair back, revealing a few bandages in his forehead**

 

Man: Come on…sit down…

 

**The cameraman shrugs once more and takes a seat across from the couch, taking a moment to get the man in frame. A hand comes in to frame and he signals he is ready, and the man inhales deeply a few times before speaking**

 

Man: Hello…I’m sure you all wonder who I am. Well let me introduce myself. My name is Bloodshed, and I have finally arrived in the Smarks Junior Leagues. I have been in this business for three years, and all I have heard was about the SJL. All I ever heard was about how once you reach here, once you reach this pinnacle…only good things await you. I have worked long and hard to get here. And now that I have come…the only way I’ll ever leave is if I am called up to the main event that is the SWF.

 

**Bloodshed stands and walks toward the kitchen, but accidentally trips and falls, and when he gets back to his feet he turns and faces the camera, but now blood drips from his bandaged forehead. Bloodshed grabs a drink and returns to the couch, now wearing a crimson mask. He smiles delightfully and speaks once more**

 

Bloodshed: As you can see, I really do live up to my name. Sometimes the smallest cuts can leave the deepest puddles. Sometimes the smallest men can dish out the biggest doses of pain. Sometimes you just have to shed a little blood……..and I can’t find a good way to end that sentence!

 

For all those out there now…and to all those that wish to follow in my footsteps. Watch your back…watch your front…watch from any side you can. Because once the blood starts to flow…there is only one thing you should know………

 

Your true grace is upon you…and all you can do is wait…and….BLEED!

 

**Bloodshed gets a bit too energetic and pushes the camera back, where it finally comes to rest in a state of complete static before fading out to black**

 

*** And when it all is done, and reality returns…are you sad that you can’t feel, the way that your soul burns…when you are done your wicked trip…and your thoughts no longer slip…into the void that holds you when you cry…you’ll see darkness up ahead…but flames will rise into your head…and make you want to curl up and die***

Let it be known that it's fantastic to see someone come up and carry the hardcore torch in the SJL. You're gonna have to work a lot to keep the standard set by the likes of Dace Night and myself, though.
